Competing with Eure on size is a hopeless effort. If space is an important objective, 5U is not a good choice in the first place.

The Octal VCA plus the Expander AD/AR from Synthetic Sound Labs is 3U and gives you the option of having a choice of either AR or AD as well as using the remaining channels left over (if you don't use all eight) for just simple VCA use.
Downside is it's just EG drven VCA's so not useable to a filter or oscillator etc..

Doug created a CV breakout module that allows you to use the CV out of the AD/AR with modules other than the Octal VCA. Its called the CV-8 Breakout Model 1511. I have SN #0001

Got my C111 a while ago, and It´s one of the best purchases I´ve made for my modular. I had six empty spaces and felt I would need three ADSR:s. Instead I´ve now got four left, and a bunch of AR/ASR. The C111 takes care of most of the need for envelope generators in my sequences, leaving many ADSR:s to lead sounds and such.

I like ADSR because you can do everything with it.. AR, AD and ADSR. Also the sustain allows you to play with different note lengths, there is a lot of really nice and affordable ADSR:
-Frequency central system X envelope (slim and really snappy)
-Doepfer (really affordable and dual/quad versions)
-Majella MLEG (looping and polarizer)
-Intellijel (dual and a lot of extra's)

While adding CV to A,D,R is not usually trivial..
Quite a few of the classic ADSR circuits can have CV input simply added to sustain. Making modulation of sustain an easy addition. They nearly all switch to a fixed voltage -set by the sustain knob. But there's no reason this has to stay a static fixed voltage!

You´re welcome, Thalassa. Unfortunately, it´s arrival coincided with a two week long break, due to us moving the studio. On monday, I´ll hopefully get a two-three hour long time window to patch everything up again, and to try those more advanced combinations on the C111.
