Logic, looping, and two makes a logical pair of cross-patching buddies!

Is this a C106 and VRG killer? Looks very nice in dual.

There's a good reason why the DUSG and Maths are foundation modules in Serge and Eurorack, respectively.
If at first you don't succeed read the instruction manual.

@synthetic - Single vs Dual - Valid question sir, and one that I had been struggling with for a long time. However, this thread is littered with "must be dual" comments which kind of pushed this into a dual unit - despite the (short term?) attractiveness of a possible single unit price.

Also, two wouldn't have the capability of logic between their "internals", two would take up 4 MU instead of 3 MU, and two singles would end up costing more than one dual in the end.

Will the frequency range be extended upwards? Like the Random Source version.
On the current prototype, the top frequency is about 2.5Khz with both rate controls at maximum and shape controls centered. Lowest settings are S_L_O_W (like a couple minutes)! I could work a bit more to get this higher, but do you think that's high enough?

Fantastic! Is this version retriggerable? It would be nice to throw in VC loop and hold if you could somehow make room.
If I understand your meaning of "retriggerable", no. This is like the original Serge. If it were retriggerable, you'd loose the cool frequency dividing ability. I don't think its possible with a switch either, due to the overall design.

So, I'm changing the two "logic" jacks to be:

Peak and Trough.

Shoot me. Comment. Or shut up! I need to go with SOMETHING!

Who's still "IN" ??????

Sent you a couple pm's about this project, if price had changed and so forth. I'm not one of the cool kids, I guess

I am still not 100% sure about how to use a USG Module but I am still real interested in this. So I can't really comment on the validity of any of the design aspects. I am in the wait and see mindset right now but would more than likely invest in one when I get to getting another cabinet and adding to my system.

Not at all! Your definitely a cool kid!

I got your PM and sorry for not replying - I've been in & out of the office the last couple days and sometimes things go under the radar. Sorry.

You asked if the price was still going to be around \$300. That was for a single USG. Now that its a dual unit, the price will probably be \$499.

Theoretically, you still have space for one more logic output. Wouldn't A*B (4 quadrant multiplier/ring mod) be a good choice? Especially for processing DC signals.

Now, who's going to make some stacking cables?

### Re: SSL Serge USG - Coming Soon!

I'm interested, but on the fence due to the size. Any chance to go with smaller knobs and fit the same functionality into 2MU? I'm running out of space and it's like deciding which kid to sacrifice...
