Now that the cat is out of the bag....IMPs are going into regular production and should be available from your favorite f(h) dealers in 60-90 days! A mere $159 USD gets you fucking shit up. These will not have the Escape From Noise stamp on them as those were only done on the limited run of 50 that are long sold out.

got the third today
i kind of feel my imps react all a bit different, my first one is very grumpy on the modulation in domain 1 high, but is very gnarly when the modulations comes through, other 2 are more smooth regarding the effectness of the modulation
:hihi: :hihi: :hihi:

here little demo of last night, using 1 imp, inputs all have attenuators, so i played with this a lot, from using all for inputs to combinations, to one etc
modulations come from a seq anti, vclfo, a jumpy maths lfo, and regular lfo low to audiorate by hand, i use a gozinta behind the out put to make high domain 1 and 2 more hearable, this use only the high domains
playing with the combos en volume of the inputs, a lot of more can be done with more complex modulation stuff

being able to mix domains or modulate each other put through ringmods etc is the fun, but first you have to fall in love with the sound and atmosphere of a single imp ofcourse

https://soundcloud.com/w-ravenveer/imps ... ag-madness

here piece with 3 imps this time combining, high and low settings
modulation of all three comes from the jag which has audiorate (anti) and cv from noisering, via choices.
although to get more variation its maybe the best to have different kinds of vc or audiorate on each imp , or work with seq switches to change cv and stuff, to get most controll is patching attenuators (or vertors) all between the inputs etc

By the way is the IMP also capable of doing musical melodies or is it really just noises and drones :help:

Was super lucky to notice that a co-worker was selling an Imp on eBay for a good price...

She brought it in today for me to try and within 2 minutes it was a done deal.

Been getting similar tones out of my VM-1 using some special tricks for years, but the Imp will get me there faster...
