Tresses: digital power!

Post by batchas » Fri Mar 01, 2019 2:37 am

I finished to build 4 Tresses yesterday and jammed after testing.
These sound sources are quite versatile.

I was impressed by the way they track and stay together in tune. Even by changing the waveform models.
I pers. never had that in my modulars! Definitely not in the Buchla, even with the 200e digital oscis.
A cool feature is the "OCT" setting which allows to change manually the octave (5 in total) on the fly.
I found this in the testing session, not exactly showing it, but gives I hope an idea:

Sounds killer Robert! Ive been using the cymbal and snare programs on my loads lately, generally using tresses for percussion.
What are those sequencers?

I needed a 1FW sequencer to go with Grilles + Radio Music in a small rig.

Yes, that sequencer seems to be a very space-effective tool! Interested, if you build a batch some day, batchas! And thanks for all your work for the bug community. Much appreciated!

Here a few sounds with Tresses, without external effects.
The firmware installed is called Renaissance. If you have the possibility to flash the ARM, this is the firmware I recommend since a couple of months and the one installed on Tresses since then.
