Re: DRM1 + Grilles
Are you using the BSP set to beat per step/24 or 48 ppq as your master clock? Or BSP as a Slave from Bugz/SLabz?
I often use a created rhythm from the DDSR to your Tresses(Snare) using OUT into Serge VqVCF (High) for a varying percussive sounds. Similar trick to your hithat tip.
Edit : I have just remembered that the new version of Grille(s) has a MIDI mini Jack input, looks like how your syncing BSP to Bug/SL.
Question: You wouldn’t happen to know what the BSP master clock would need to be set too? ie beat per step or ppq if one wanted to use the BSP as master clock?

Re: DRM1 + Grilles
I just checked. The BSP and Grilles are both set to 24ppq. Not sure it matters on the Grilles though, when it's driven by MIDI.nikfrisbee wrote: ↑Wed Jan 01, 2020 5:10 pmQuestion: You wouldn’t happen to know what the BSP master clock would need to be set too? ie beat per step or ppq if one wanted to use the BSP as master clock?

Re: DRM1 + Grilles
Damn, I think I am going to have to get a Grilles from you too Robert!
Re: DRM1 + Grilles
This sounds awesome!
I still regret not having DRM1 and Expander in my system (is the expander from Tom or made by you, Robert?) !!!
Somehow I like the sound of it more than DRM2 (hard to say only from videos, but ... ). Guess they're quite different sounding modules...

The DRM1 Xpander in the video is one I made for myself, at the time the BugBrand expanders were not available anymore.

Re: DRM1 + Grilles
Here's a new one.
As you might know, the DRM1 is one of my favourite modules. With or without expander, it is a very versatile and powerful drum module, capable of any kind of sounds. I still think it's one of the best modules I ever add, all systems concerned.
Direct outs from DRM1 + expander, no effects added:
