Here's some more matrixing, this time used for CV pattern generation:

Hope this shows up. My smartphone rear camera broke so can only use the front 'selfie' lens so I couldn't compose the picture at all and it's wobbly - apologies.
Just received my Matrix and can't praise it enough, it sounds, feels and looks amazing!

So, a few sent out but...
Somehow I did not notice that we'd put red caps on the ins & blue on the outs - how the dotdot did I not notice?!
And only now has someone asked why the colours are back to front!
I'll get on to people shortly to whom I've already sent them.

Tom, you did the right banana colors on the proto at least! So there's still hope...

Ooh, this is available now? Don't have any spare cash for luxuries at the moment - will it be in regular production Tom?

Initial board run is 50 pieces - so plenty to go round I'd imagine!

read through the thread again and didn't see it come up, apologies if I missed it, but this doesn't provide offset when nothing is plugged into an input is that correct?

No, but the forthcoming 1FW DC Mixer does have offset on the third input.
[3 x DC input - two with invert/mute switches, third with mute/+5V offset switch]

somehow, I noticed the colors... but just assumed it meant I was missing something with respect to how this module was supposed to function... glad I mentioned it though tom! very much looking forward to getting mine!

A few weeks ago I went from no matrix to two. One for modulation sources and one for audio. It ties things together in interesting ways, increasing cause/effect relationships in the sounds. Sometimes there's a trade off between clarity and complexity but I'm enjoying having more options there.
Here's this afternoon's matrix experiment.

Funny! The same thing happened to me. Now I wish I hadn't waited so long -- they both solve some common problems.

excellent track!
I'm also loving the cause/effect dynamic it presents. It's quickly become the glue that ties my whole rack together, with varying levels of complexity depending on the mood I'm in.
one thing I'm looking forward to trying (which I can't believe I haven't yet) is adding the Joystick/Touch in to the mix as an event generator/complex modulation instigator.

Yes, it adds some odd new pathways. I am just beginning to play around with it but this is a shot of something I was messing with the past few weeks. A mix of audio rate and cv going into the mixer and then back into the LW panel at different points. Not the best photo but...
