What happened to this drum machine?
It seems to me that you're the expert, Mark.

Someone on GS asked him about it back in February and this was the response then.
the Detroit will be available in April 2017.
The price will be around 1000 €.
There will not be any preorder for now.
The first units will be just sold in Germany, later on worldwide.

Best regards
Klaus

Trying to find an email where Klaus told me the price and estimated release date... can't find it. I do remember it was pretty far out. And not cheap.

Edit: just read above. I think I heard the same thing, 100 euro, April 2017 sounds right.

I love his stuff but he's a busy guy and slow as a consequence... I even read somewhere he has a day job?

This with the m1am1 is all you'd ever need, love all his gear, it will be worth it when it's finally released

Definitely glad I jumped on a nava and didn't wait for this. I have a drumatix which is cool, but those little acidlab step buttons are nothing like the full size real buttons on the Nava. So nice to work with. Also having more authentic 909 controls/sequencer is very nice, this looks similar to drumatix sequencer which I still find kind of confusing.

Haven't been able to find one put together. Did you build it yourself?

I'd love to get my hands on the Detroit to sample and use in a more advanced sequencer.
Acidlab rhythm sounds are always so deliciously raw and crisp.

Found a built one. Got a quote from a builder on their forums for 1200 though just a bit of a wait. That's what I paid. There is a thread for builders over there check it.

Yeah. I tried to want the TR-09 but this just blows it out of the water.

And I really need individual outs, even if it wasn't missing the analog punch as well.

Here's another nava demo I recorded for a friend just now who wanted to hear some specific patterns/sounds to compare to the real thing. Nothing very exciting. I should probably learn how to use the clear function.

man...I´m drooling...

the way this sounds mix together is amazing...the dynamics of the hihats, the tonal balance of the whole pattern...this thing really dig the 909 flavor :goo: :goo: :goo: :goo: :goo:

Before this I had a full kit/case/knobs that I didn't build and ended up selling here since I wasn't sure I wanted to put the time into another big project. I don't know what I was thinking.

Some of the sounds are tunable via trimpots and it comes pretty damn close. Not perfect but close enough. For more info here:

I've heard an early miami and I have a later 2017 era miami and the later unit sounds "better" but it was tuned to be more 808ish on the snare and claps
