It's interesting that there is no difference in price between any of the UK retailers. So much for competition.
This could be an entirely different thread/ conversation, but you folks should look into what I use up here in Canada. Sign up for Shipitto

Gives you a mailbox in California that you can ship US products to, then you pay them to forward it to wherever you live. I've used them for 4+ years. Never had a single problem. Also, if you were a sneaky person with a TOTAL disregard for the LAW, you could technically adjust the customs declaration to whatever your little heart desires. But one would need to be a real rascal to do something like that.

Mods, feel free to delete this if it is too irrelevent/ inappropriate. Thought it might be helpful to those upset by the mind boggling prices overseas.

As Peter Kirn points out, it's still two Voyager oscillators (plus subharmonics) and Voyager filter. Sequencer aside, it can be controlled via MIDI or CV. There's actually more synth there than in the Mother-32.

I lusted after the original unit for a good while but this reveal has left me feeling deflated. It's being hyped to hell and back on my feed. You could buy a Grandmother (best mono ever) for that kind of money. Stretch further and you could probably get a second hand Peak. Not the same thing, but equally beautiful and with more features. It's only going to get hammered with reverb on YouTube anyways

Thank you, I didn't catch that. This article is interesting, indeed.

Not cheap, but I totally can see this coupled with my DFAM.

More like the VCA, it seems :
The VCOs are a new version of the sawtooth relaxation oscillator that Bob developed for the Voyager, which was essentially a modern (circa 2000) take on the Minimoog VCO. The VCF is a 24dB/oct Moog ladder [filter], and the VCA has a direct lineage back to the Voyager as well.

I looked at the panel many many times yesterday and today, but only now Andrew Huang makes me notice that quantization labeling is somewhat wrong. You have 12-ET and 12-JI for the chromatic scale of 12 different notes, but 8-ET and 8-JI for the diatonic scale of 7 notes...

Yup, I read that wrong. Anyway, point is, it's not insubstantial even ignoring the step sequencer. I get the feeling that some people are kind of dismissing it as gimmicky or lightweight (because I did at first).

I went ahead and committed to getting one. Looks like it will be next month until they get more in. Guess that isn't too bad since we've been waiting for about 2 years to get Moog to put it into production,

Interesting that Juno, the only shop in the UK that is willing to compete on price, can't get any Subharmonicons ...

The availability of this has wrecked my 'plan' of buying a PittsMod Voltage Research synth with some tax return dough. It's still OOS, but the SH is here now... Though very different, to me they fill a particular 'weird' void in my setup. Looks like the VRL has some competition...!

I’ve owned and sold the original and will be getting this one. It definitely has improvements over the workshop unit. It’s the sequencer subdivisions and logic functions that make this special. If it weren’t for that I would’ve probably never been interested.

I'm trying to figure out how to patch sequencer subdivisions like that and I can't wrap my head around it as of yet. Super cool feature that makes the 4 step sequencer sooo much more.

Same here. Thinking it involves a 4ms QCD, a Lowgain Short Bus, and two Xaoc Tiranas? Then you could dial in four different clock divisions, combine and route them to each Tirana.

Here's a way to mimic its behaviour.

I bought my first hardware synth in ~06 and have gone a ways down the rabbit hole since, but somehow this ended up being my first Moog. I’m very excited.

"The Sub-H into Clouds"
I can feel a massive tsunami of tracks forming up in the ether. It may require its own named genre.

I ordered one as soon as it went up, only to get a message it was oversold and back ordered. Got my refund...I think I may put the cash towards an FM module and some effects instead...

I like the innovation here, just don't like the moog sound. I guess I might pass, but would like to at leastplay with it for a few hours.

I was just planning to fire the Instruo Cs-L through my SHC and then realised there is no filter, mixer or VCA input. It's a pretty closed patchbay, feels like a slap in the face :(

My YouTuBe Page...
The patch you've created in your brain is more challenging to modify than the patch you have on your modular.
