I hope that you will enjoy playing with the new things :bananaguitar:
Actually calling the new oscillator "percussion oscillator" is a an understatement : I mean these oscillators can be used for drum sound of course, but there are also very good drone and "abstract/noise" sound. It opens a lot of possiblities. Really a cool :) !!

On the Sample Rec page.

From any page:
-Push the Func/Mute button, so that it lights up.
-Push step button 12 (Sample/Qrec)

Or from the Preset page:
-Touch Edit
-Touch SMP in the top bar
-Touch REC in the bottom bar

Impressed by the percussive oscillator! :tu:
Sounds somewhere between physical modelling and fm synthesis. I'd be curious to know the concept behind.

swing = very useful add-on

Thank you very much!

I have done a lot of research on how drum sounds are made, to make this possible. I started to do this research, when I was working on Fuzion, so it has been going on for some time :)
The percussion oscillators are indeed a mixture of several synthesis techniques.

LD3 does actually already have swing per track, but Seeasound kindly reminded me, that it did not have the "Swing All" function, that LD2 had. This will soon change!

And thank you so much, for reminding me, that I had forgotten to transfer this functionality from LD2.

Hello everyone and especially Flemming,
I'm new here, thank you for writing posts and opinions.

I just want to write that I started using PolySpaze Synth and especially LD3 for only half a year. In the style of music I have been doing so far, I discover something else. Mainly, we can finally use tools where I can create poly linear rhythms and develop sonicity.

Thank you Flemming, you're doing a great job! Thanks a lot for all the upgrades and new ideas. It's very inspiring.

I hope you don't mind putting my own music in this forum?
Mainly thanks to LittleDefromer, Polyspaze (+ and a little bit MOOG's Mother 32, DFAM and OTO BAM) I managed to make the whole release https://predskokanotrok.bandcamp.com/album/zvar

@sihmon Great use of the LD3 and Polyspaze. Really intricate polyrhythms. Enjoyed it thanks for sharing!

Been taking some time to explore the new Percussion oscillators and WOW. So impressed with the crunchy snappy unique rhythm sounds.

You've definitely pushed them since the FuZiOn percussion oscillators.

Having a lot of fun with using the LD3 as an experimental drum machine. :yay:

Thank you very much! Great to hear, that you are enjoying the new oscillator types!

I also feel, that the new percussion oscillators are much for powerful, than the old ones :) I am quite happy with my new drum machine.

Thank you all for your reaction! I really appreciate it.

I love the old oscillator, I still have something to discover in it, but I'm looking forward to the new one :)

I'll give you one more "techno" example, where the rhythm is more transparent and hear how I work with individual oscillators and superimposing.:

A new update are now available:

-Swing All function has been added.

-Extra Trigger Random function added, that will make it randomly toggle between the part and the extra part, instead of just playing both back at the same time.

-USB sample import: It is now possible to select, if it should use the sample “LD” name or the file name, when importing samples.

Get it at:

Thank you for this update flemming...much appreciated!

I am having an issue with sending MIDI out. The LD3 knobs are sending CC out by default on the main screen so it affects the externally synced machines parameters without me wanting it that way. Is there someway to disable this?

I will try to get this addressed in the next update, with a knob MIDI CC on/off switch.
