Congrats, I think it will fit your musical stylings very well. It’s my absolute favorite piece of gear. I highly recommend the percussion oscillator upgrade, makes some seriously beefy industrial sounds.

it is an absolute brutal noiz weapon that has more versatility than most gear.

i have even used it as a quick CC sequencer for controlling vid synths with both MIDI and CV.

Hello,

Anybody using the OP-Z in combo with LD3?

I have a Midi question. I am trying to send midi program change. Ive never done anything like this before with midi so a little lost despite reading both manuals.

The behaviour im seeking is when switching patterns of the opz I want that to select the desired patch on the ld3.

Today, I made a melodic bass track, and I`d like to be able to transpose, that track, quickly with a MIDI keyboard.
I didn´t know how to do it?
Is there any way?

thanks!

thanks guys!

and nice review :)

the LD3 is a massive beast

i need to spend more time and really dig deep

i must say i'm deeply in love with the modular routing available inside this box... this seems like the one box that actually can do it all that we've all dreamed of

Quick question about creating full songs on the LD3: From what I understand, I could create presets for verse, chorus, bridge, etc., chain them together via Song Mode, save the song and then reproduce the whole thing again whenever I want. But say I then wanted to change the waveform of my lead melody oscillator. Do I then have to edit all those presets individually and make the lead sound match manually? Since some songs may consist of a lot of presets, for example several verses just with different automation for variety, this could be tedious/difficult.

I ask because I’m coming from an MPC groove box background, where sequence data is saved separately from audio data, so one can for example quickly exchange a sample or tweak a sound parameter across a whole song (i.e. several chained sequences). The LD3 doesn’t work like this though, right?

Thats right.

However you can quite quickly copy and paste all the current synth settings from one part to another in a different preset.

So if you had built up a song and then wanted to drastically edit a synth lead it wouldnt require much effort to update all the other presets in the song to the same edited synth sound.

I’ve continued to study the LD3 manual. What’s the story behind the mysterious C.P. setting on page 340?

I imagine there may be answers already in this thread, but I’m having some trouble finding anything. Has anyone had success with quantized (1v or 1.2v) cv outputs from controller tracks? In particular, the scaling of piano grid mode is off (ie - a perfect fifth is a minor third). I can create quantized sequences using the slider mode, but it’d be easier to use the grid mode. I imagine my settings are off or I missed something critical. I also cannot see 1vS or 1.2vS as options. I’m using 12.26 firmware. Any help is appreciated

Can anyone tell me what the LD3 CV output range is and if it’s possible to scale/clamp it to 0-5V? I read that the inputs can be set to a variety of ranges (+/-12V, 0-5V, etc), but the manual doesn’t seem to mention anything about the output.
