So, One midi modulation cc per track...do you know if this modulation is saved per pattern when linking patterns in song mode?
patterns are independent. So track 3 could be sending MIDI notes to MIDI Out 1, channel 1 in the first pattern and then you could chain to a pattern where that track is now sending MIDI notes to channel 7 on USB. It's up to you to maintain consistency across the patterns if necessary. Previous patterns do not influence future patterns whether they are chained or manually invoked.

How would I set a master clock controlling 2 Seqs. ? basically having an all-in one 16 ch. Seq.
tracking all 16 ch. at the same time

Set seq(1) to DIN internal or locked, seq(1) will send out clock to midi out 1 and 2.
On the seq(1) use only midi out 1 to output midi notes and additional information.

Connect seq(1) midi out 2 to seq(2) midi in.

Set seq(2) clock to DIN.

Note that if you send midi note data from one seq to another, you will have problems entering notes, the one that is getting synced will spas out.
So I am guessing USB is a no go for syncing two seqs together.
They really need to get this fixed asap.

I didn't have any luck getting the clock output replicated on din2. Instead I ended up splitting the din1 output which worked perfectly. ymmv

I used both a Midi Solutions 1 > 4 and later an Erica Synths 1 > 8. Both worked perfectly.

Thanks! I wonder if anyone has any experience in this setup with the Iconnectivity Mio10.

How do you filter notes to the seq?
I havent been able to turn it off.
As you know the root note will be affected. Maybe i am just a little dumb haha

No, it's the one-in four-out version:
http://www.midisolutions.com/prodqth.htm

One went to my Euro MIDI-to-clock module to provide system clocks; another to the Polyend Poly unit to process all the gate and pitch info; and the other two to outboard MIDI gear for sync. I tried various permutations but Seq always preferred being the master.

Since I’m a starter with midi knowledge... I don’t really need a thru box if I own the Mio10,right? In order to link the two Seqs.

No, you got all you need and you can also filter out all messages except start, stop and clock it seems.
It seems you are sorted.

Appreciate your feedbacks! I am still undecided if 2 seqs. would really make a difference...I am mainly planning in sequencing ios apps. I would like 2 of them , to gain more polyphonic channels ( and proper 8 channels just for drums). I do also own Faderfox Pc12 and Mx12...so plenty of control over midi cc's. I don't mind having just one modulation param. per track to automate...the rest i can just live record while playing the whole pattern arrangement.
Do both of you use 2 seqs. and how is the workflow?

I wonder if The Missing Link from Circuit Happy would make a difference regarding overall clock ( i do own one of them)...i could link one seq clock to the second one ( not sure...about that)

I use 1x seq. 2x MD 1x digitone 1x RYTM 1x A4 - The MD's are mainly midi sequencers. But sometimes used for the nice gritty sound as well.

Just a small sketch, video and audio sucks, but yeah, this is what I got...

Not sure you would need more than the Mio10, you can filter out and distribute clock etc. With that.
2 seq. Sound like a good idea if you can get them at a fair price.
Otherwise digitone and digitakt are cool too, but they dont have song mode, this is why I still use Machinedrums.
I heard good things about the octatrack as a midi sequencer too, but seems to cumbersome for me personally.

The workflow is straight forward, with some limitations of course. But you can also go into total polyrhythmic-metric territory.
Some things you can do with the seq. That you cant do with Elektron, and vice versa.
It's easy to come up with good melodies and rhythms with the seq.

I would go for it. Yeah. Having 2 of them might make them work well together. 16 lanes. But it's going to take some space :hihi:

I ended up buying one seq. and a pyramid. Seq. For drums and pyramid for synth lines...I will just have to think how to sync these two sequencers
