I was surprised at how much less than awesome as I expected, the dry outs of the TR-909, sounded.
TR-808 sounded much better straight out of the box.

Anyhow, both are at insane prices and are not worth half of the asking prices (for me), so if anything is going to go next to the Rytm, it will be a Behringer unit.

I love techno but I don't need an original 909/808.

No remark on how long they'll expect it will take, but an interesting update:

i was just thinking about this the other day, wondering if they'd released it yet in the mountain of other stuff they're announced. i love the 909 sound, but i'm starting to think about looking at something a bit less niche, like a drumbrute or something. not in a hurry, so i'll wait to hear how this sounds.

I got tired of waiting and went tr-8s. Very fun and flexible. Sorted.

pretty much what i thought was best when looking at current offerings.. though modal samples still has me intrigued. just not a lot of info on it compared to the cycles sound demos.

TR8S is outstanding. it isn’t as versatile as an elektron unit, but its so good at what it does and most of the time thats all you really need.

Why would you consider the 909 to be niche? And the drumbrute not?

One for the 'things that get your Muffs license revoked' thread. :hihi:
