sounds great but the dev says "I think it will be cheaper than a used 101." Yeah I would sure hope it is... a lot cheaper.

However used 101's are selling at lots of different secondhand prices! so will have to set one price and stick to it. 500 would be nice, any higher than 600 then it's a no. The Behr 101 doesn't sound like a real 101, doesn't have that punch in the sound there, especially the filter.

Yeah i would be much more likely to shell out the money for a bit cheeper option without the battery and the option to buy it if i need it. i feel like others who have stated that the sound is much more there than the behr but if it comes in north of 700 it might be harder to sell them

Kickstarter going live tomorrow @ 1pm EST

Man it looks nice, but probably more than I’m willing to pay for a “101”.

LOLOL !! Wanting so hard to look cool. A SH101 re-built in Cupertino.

And of course, too cool for but-ugly, white-trashy 5 pin DIN-MIDI. Of course.

I like the look and the sound. No midi din I am guessing due to how thin it is? I guess price will be the deciding factor.

“Are you a Mr Creosote when it comes to collecting synths? Try this, it’s wafer thin.”
Insert pithy statement here

$999 / $949 early bird is a hard pass unfortunately

At that point might as well pay the inflated price for a real one

Will wait for them to hit the street. I've owned quite a few SH-101's over the years and there's no way I pay $1000 for one (or it's clone). No matter how beautiful it may be, which this one is. :hail:

Fair play to anybody jumping on the Kickstarter though. It is gorgeous and sounds the business. They really did a great job with this :nana:

I have a couple dinsync gilbert kits on the way, and with the new metal cases hoping that quenches my roland sh thirst.

I hate that I still love it though

I was curious and checked what the original SH101 went for. $495 in 1982 was equivalent to about $1,300 in 2019. ~1,100 equiv. in 1986

Dang $900 as an early bird price. I was foolishly hoping for the $600 realm :hide: I get it though, it really looks like they put the time and money into not only the sound but design and hardware as well. This thing looks heads and tails above an original Roland and def above the Behringer IMO.

Does anyone know if those little mini-jack to MIDI adapters are opto-isolated? I get bad noise issues in my studio so USB midi is always out
