Worth checking the firmware's up to date- some time around the turn of the year it was updated, one of the changes was to make the slide a little longer, so it sounded more rubbery and 303ish.
The update actually makes the slide a litte shorter as it was too long to begin with. When you added a slide with a tied note it kind of had a slight modulation to it. So now the slide should approximate the 303's one.

I have to say that the "Murda'd Out" / Murdered Out Devil Fish Modded is

I still want a blue or black regular one when available in USA without prepaying (I'm in no rush), but the prospect of an already tricked out version is pretty damn cool. Shame they can't make a true collab with Robin and kick him back some money, but I can't say I'm surprised they didn't see eye to eye.

In a perfect world they could kick him $20/unit plus say $10 in extra parts for the mods, $179.99 msrp. Who knows, but I would definitely pay $20-40 extra for a pre-modded TD-3.

Got mine yesterday. :spin:

Very squelchy, rubbery warm tones. Love it.
Thanks! Bad recording but some of the character pushes through. 🙂

I’ve had them a while now and they are pretty much spot on, except for the cutoff range. I need to get that fixed.
Remorseless modular beat; a bit discordant but melodic too. 🦊🦂

Yes, you're right, and that's what I meant. God knows why my fingers said "longer" - thanks

I just got one...
Didn't sound right until I updated the firmware. The slide has definitely improved....
The sequencer is obviously close to the original (my TB303 has been sick for some times, so I might have forgoten a few things...), But I prefer the improvements on my TT-303 (first model) by far. The TT303 has a few twists that makes it better.
Am I the only one that notices the notes lenght being shorter?
The accent sounds funny... A bit too short as well....
Better resonance than on the TT303. As in, faithful to the original 303. The TT303 is going about 95percent there, and cannot reach some specific whistling the original 303 does. The behringer on, on the other hand, is spot on.
Not my favourite choice of distortion, but hey, I presume it's a question of taste...
Overall very happy with it. Oh, i did the trimpot thingy in order to lower the value of the filter, to make it closer to the original, and it improved the hyper brilliance.

I just updated the firmware on mine - the slide is definitely improved (and more obvious on CV/Gate control too)

Yep, gives it a bit more of a bouncy feel. I still need to pop the thing open and back the VCF bias off a bit, I think mine's a bit bright, but it really doesn't sound bad. Guess it's hard to fuck up such a simple design- but I really do enjoy mine.

pretty sure this is just speculation at this point. don't think there's a tentative date, only behringer's expressed interest in coming out with a modded version.

Personally I am waiting for the "KILL ALL BITCHES LMAO GENOCIDED UP" version, where not only is it all black, but the knobs have been replaced by studded skulls to be more edgy and xtreem.

I'm waiting for the 'HEAT DEATH of the UNIVERSE' version.... all black, no i/o, no knobs... just the holy 303 circuit inside...

Can you even self-oscillate at maximum entropy?

This thing has a growl to it that I can't get out of my Avalons. I'm having so much fun, more than on my Avalons.

I didn't want to say it out loud...
:sstorm:

Granted the Avalon is much more, but once they fix MIDI slides this will be the best straight 303 clone around, hands down.
Ya hate to see it.

I imagine by "fun" you are talking about sonic results since the Avalon´s sequencer seems to be way better and easy to use than the TD3´s

For those of us coming from real 303 experience, we wanted the familiarity of that system. Behringer also added a facility to program from a DAW for those with less (or no) experience on the original.
Gum is fun, but not on a cat.

The OG sequencer takes some getting used to but is manageable and can create some “happy accidents” but I prefer the synth tool. makes it a breeze to program lots quickly and creates a fast workflow for me personally.

Never really got along with any of the acid boxes I’ve owned (XoX, TB-3, TB-03) in the past. I felt like they all missed the mark / weren’t quite right. The TD-3 actually sounds like genuine acid to me. For the price its unmatched.

I agree 100 percent!!! I remember originally being taught to program it but picking a key... throwing in a bunch of notes making sure to utilize the octave buttons... and then randomly clicking in accents and slides... it was the king of happy accidents!!!

The TD-3 is the closest I’ve gotten to the original 303 in something that costs next to nothing.

Wiggle Team,

I have been having too much fun with this box

2 Questions if anyone would be so kind. I have read the manual and I apologize if i missed these things.

1) To save a pattern, am I clear that the unit basically auto saves each pattern? So to write a new pattern you just find any pattern you aren't crazy about and clear/write over it?

2) When people have been talking abut an internal trimpot to adjust the cutoff range, are you saying you can make the filter range lower to have more of the highs filtered out? That would be amazing and if so, any info on where to look to find specific instructions on how to do this would be most appreciated.

Thanks so much to all of the people that make this an amazing community.

Yes, people commonly turn it down a tiny bit as the TD-3 is a touch on the bright side. A tiny bit, mind.

Have seen that Behringer has released an update for the TD-3 that fixes the midi slide problem.
