Didn't read the whole thread but any info on the distortion circuit? B should have cloned the Boss metal zone and just threw in with the sale.

Well, anyone want to buy my 10% completed XoXbox?
Looks like the hard work has been done, and Behringer has helped make my dream come true.

Got the power supply done, and have moved onto the main board, and then reached the zenith of my electrical knowledge.

The build guide is awesome, but finding a forum to figure out why you're NOT getting 5.4V exactly is disappointing and challenging.

Might take a stab again, or the kit goes online for sale.

At the end I cancelled my preorder, bought a mono ststion circuit for just a bit more 275€ delivered) ..more powerful synth with way more powerful 3 track sequencer, including cv sequencer with an extra aux cv out( My 0-Coast is going to love it) I may get one in the future though, ex-demo or second hand for a 100€ or so..

seta666: I’d argue that 275 is a bit more than ”just a bit more” than 155. :D

When you are into modular 155 or 275 is the same, peanuts.
For me 120€ more is not much of a difference, and it is a way more capable synth and a way better cv sequencer too, in fact I cannot think of a better cv sequencer for that money; very good value. I would have never paid the 549€ it was before though.

Personal choice, of course—the difference is worth it to you—but pretty much the reason I have a Euro system in the first place is finding ways to save money here and there, so certainly a non-trivial difference to me.

Funny how sometimes synthmakers can act so predictably. One day we were discussing Behringer with some friends and I clearly remember myself saying, that if they do a 303 for 150 eur, I would buy one emediately. Well, now I'm waiting for one to arrive!
Yes, I have lauded the Boutique Tb-03 previously quite alot, but it's obviously not authentic enough, so I'm waiting for that day to compare the two. Anyway I won't be selling my Boutique, but keep it as a nice acidic cv sequencer for the modular, also with midi to cv conversion, so a keeper anyway!

BTW, I've had one of these for a week or two, grabbed one of the first batch to land at Thomann. If anyone has any weird questions I might be able to answer (USE SHORT WORDS), shoot.

(Yes, it feels like it'd blow away in a light breeze, yes it sounds a lot like a 303, maybe a bit brighter without that charming timing sloppiness.. but fun as hell.)

Does it track and stay in tune well enough?

I haven't noticed any massive drift, but then most of its time I haven't been using it as a very musical mono, it has been banging out simple 8/16 note patterns in a loop while I twiddle knobs and laugh like one too.

(I also don't have brilliant pitch, unlike some people here, I suspect)

It did seem relatively happy to accept MIDI note data though. It doesn't look like you can automate many parameters if you were to be using it just as a MIDI device though- note on/off and pitch bend are pretty much your lot if you're not interested in sync.

The red one sounds like fire and the blue one sounds more chilled. :goo:

Love it!

I also love that setup. When people come over, you can be the bar tender and the DJ. I may need to put together a little living room setup for similar things! Great idea!!
