Enjoy Electronics - Reminder Effects Unit

Post by david_r » Fri Nov 08, 2019 9:52 pm

Didn't find a topic on this one and I think it looks / sounds great.

From developers:
lts sophisticated retro-futuristic soul and its powerful processor is a completely revolutionary point of view on the classic effects like Echo Space, Delay, Filters and Reverbs, implementing the sounds results with other innovative unique effects such as DOUBLE PULSE DELAY , with superlative sound quality

I DJ and I think this would be a great effects unit for DJ'ing.

So I've been eyeing one of these and keep thinking that I wish it had cv/euro connectivity. Anyone got a clue what'd I use to replicate in euro? The 4ms DLD with a reverb on the send/return ?

I backed this on Indiegogo, but as often happens with this sort of thing they over-promise and then end up repeatedly pushing back the delivery date. So far it looks like they've shipped only about 10 units, so I just have to be patient.

I really like the playability of this and the immediacy without menu diving. I wonder if they'll possibly update the reverb algo or add other types of delay? Seems pricey and some have argued you can do the same for much cheaper in eurorack but if so - how? What units would stack up to this?

A beautiful unit, well made, fantastic tactile feel, loads of controls and lots of fun to play. As the demo vids show you can gets all sorts of complex multi-tap rhythms. I got lost in twiddling for ages turning simple things into interweaving complex cascades. But in terms of actual music production this just wasn't suited to my style and I ended up selling. Best uses for this imo is more uptempo material and especially people who like loopers. Downsides are the short delay times and the harsh hissy reverb.

Anyone else care to share some feedback or thoughts? It sounds like they're updating their reverb algorithm and even adding more parameters to control, which would be sweet.

Any more reviews? Still saving up - how long is the wait on average? Can't wait to get one. 65 euros for shipping to the US is pricey though!

Mine (unit 145) was supposed to be delivered yesterday, but got stolen from my front porch :( Thanks FedEx.

Edit: turns out it just got delivered to a neighbor a few streets over, and they got it to me today! Whew!
