You get to point out that it is paraphonic. You get to point out that it doesn't have "voices." You get to feel weird about the fact that they didn't say "paraphonic." But you never ever get to say it's not polyphonic.

Polyphony is about note count. Paraphony is about articulation of note count.
"Now, don't misquote me and say I'm against keyboards. I've been misquoted on that one enough. A keyboard is a useful input structure if what you want is rapid simultaneous access to a large number of sounds of fixed pitch, but it's much less useful for controlling some other aspects of sound."

that behringer synth is paraphonic, but you can call me Ray, or you can call me Jay, or you can call me Ray Jay......

Polyphonic

"In music, polyphony is a type of musical texture consisting of two or more simultaneous lines of independent melody, as opposed to a musical texture with just one voice, monophony, or a texture with one dominant melodic voice accompanied by chords, which is called homophony."

https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Polyphony

Paraphonic

" A term used to describe a synthesizer where multiple oscillators can be used to play different notes, but all of those oscillators route through the same signal path (VCF/DCF, VCA/DCA, etc.), as opposed to true polyphony, where each oscillator feeds its own filter, amplifier, and so on."

The point, unless I'm horribly mistaken, is that you can still play polyphonic music on a paraphonic synth...

I believe you are correct according to the above definitions..

However, that synth is actually a....

par·o·dy
/ˈperədē/

noun
an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or genre with deliberate exaggeration for comic effect.

discussions of 4Boog poly/para are a twist in the fabric of space, where time becomes a loop

and from which there is no escape

Right...

First of all, cut the language.

Second of all, I have a grand total of 1 piece of Behringer gear (a tube preamp) that I bought years ago. So I’m definitely not a fanboy.

And you gave your opinion in your first post. And we respected it. Now please respect ours. You simply keep coming back to harass.

Anyways...

I do like what Behringer is doing for people that want the vibe of gear that has gotten too expensive. I’ve owned (or still do) a lot of the originals Behringer are cloning, and definitely don’t feel threatened by cheap knockoffs in the least.

The day will come when anyone who trolls, states as fact their opinion on the ability of a synth without using it, or just hides behind their keyboard and throws out trash will be found out and dragged to their death. :tu:

are you joking? To others I would say;

If you don't get a joke, don't pretend its something other than a joke.

when you call someone a derogatory name on the internet such as a troll or antisocial, you are engaging in bullying behavior and therefore subject to pushback and may be called a "fan boy" or a bully.

People are allowed to offer opinions and if anyone doesn't like it or doesnt like the response they receive when they engage in member to member bullying behavior, too bad.

You reap what you sow, just like Behringer does.

All of you. Stop with the off topic insults - please.
This is just going round in circles which will inevitably end in the thread being locked.
