Just before the Christmas holidays, I wondered how analog versions of the LD3 percussion oscillators would sound...

Wow I just love the way it looks with the blue enclosure, and the new knobs :) And the concept of Gotharman's DrumMachine seems to be a great idea.
Does it uses the same kind of filter than the polyspaze and the LD3 spazeboard ?

Thank you very much friend :-)

Its analog filters are PolySpaze style, but instead of having HPF and LPF in serial, it has 2 LPF's in parallel, for maximum BOOM :-)

Love the design of this!

The gotharman devices are already fantastic for coming up with crazy drum patterns and rhythmic loops.

I probably use my LD3 as a rhythm box most of the time.

Looking forward to seeing how this new box which is focused on drum duties develops! :yay: :sb:

Thank you very much friend.

I am also using the new LD3 percussion synth a lot, and I am really happy with it. So I simply had to hear, how an analog version of it would sound :)
And it sounds quite different. I don't think that one sounds better than the other. They just sound different, and even if I have started this new project, I still like to use the LD3 version...

Yes, this really does sound great! Any idea on a price point or when it will be released yet?

Thank you very much!

I have been so busy working on it, that I have not even been thinking about the price. Will have a look at this soon!

I expect to have it ready within a couple of months, but it is a rather big job making this thing, so it is hard to say exactly.

MMMnnn really liked the patch around 2:20 and the territory it covers with the morphing. Great to see individual outs added!

Two questions in anticipation of the SpazeDrum :)

1. Can the analog filters also work on the analog drum oscillators, or only on the digital oscillators?

2. What kind of analog filters are in the SpazeDrum? Can they be swapped for other filter boards like in the Little deFormer 3?

Thank you very much for your interest.

1. No, the analog oscillators and the analog filters are the same analog circuit, that is coupled differently in each mode.

2. The analog filters are close to the Spaze (SSI) filters, but not completely the same, and they are LPF only. They can't be swapped like filterboards.

Ah, okay. Makes sense that the filters are part of the analog drum oscillator circuits! Thanks :tu:
