This sounds very exciting! Ha a couple of questions:

-Do you have any more info on the integrated sound synthesiser you mention in the specs?
-What do the '64 tables' refer to? Are these wavetables?
-Would there be a stand alone version of the expanders? Just thinking about the best way to integrate with diy banana synth.
-Will there be a kickstarter or crowndfunding/pre-order thing? Or will it just get a straight release?

Keep up the great work - looks amazing!
I can answer only a few questions right now:
-What do the '64 tables' refer to? Are these wavetables?
NerdSEQ has Tables, but these are not wavetables. It is more a sequencer in the sequencer.

-Would there be a stand alone version of the expanders? Just thinking about the best way to integrate with diy banana synth.
Most probably not for the CV like expanders, because they are powered by a Bus which provides the voltages. Doing that standalone would not make sense. You could bould a mini-rack which can take care of that.
The Video output is planned to work also as standalone.

-Will there be a kickstarter or crowndfunding/pre-order thing? Or will it just get a straight release?
It's mostly be a straight release but depends on all the cost i would start a crowdfunding thing. I got to see how the production turns out and before not everything is settled i will not start any pre-orders or crowdfunding. I don't want to take any risk that i can't keep a promised deadline. You will know early enough the construct for ordering and before details.
You can always already take a look at the current nerdSEQ functions. It's that, but more on top of it.

Thanks for your reply. I've been reading the nerdseq manual, and it sounds like it would be very interesting as a standalone for me.

One more question if that's ok:

On the current nerdseq there are samples, but you can just trigger and stop them. If this new device is more sample focused, will there be an amp envelope per sample triggered? Or can this be done already using the fx? And will there be a filter?

Thanks, this sounds so awesome!

You can do much more with the current NerdSEQ sample implementation than just trigger and stop. You have pitch, notes, bitcrush, distortion, offset, retriggering, backwards and more....

The Portable will get more features of course!

Anyway, lets focus on getting that thing ready!
