Any compact mixer like this, but not Behringer?
I'm looking for a small mixer like this one, but not Behringer. I could not find :(
The small size matters here.
I saw Mackie, Yamaha and so on, but all go over 27cm, 30cm etc. I have already 30 cm mixer with 16 channels, aux/sends etc etc.
I wish I could find a smaller one.
I need:
• Size like the Behringer one is good: 8.7" x 9.5" - 24 x 22cm. Like 20x20cm size is excellent.
• Important is 4 x stereo channels (at least 3 x and 2 x mono).
• At least 1 x send/return (optimal 2 x).
• 1 x XLR Mic Preamp in is sufficient for me and could even do without.
• No need for RCA.
• No need for internal effects.
• Analog. No USB. Simple.
Any suggestion?

Have a look at the Mackie VLZ4 series.

A rotary DJ mixer, but that's a rather different price point...

Why not Behringer ?
Mackie 1202 VLZ4 might be what you are looking for.
Or the Yamaha MG12. The MG10 is smaller with only 3 stereo channel, but if you can live with 2 mono channels as a stereo channel, it might do the trick.
They are all a bit larger than what you are looking for though.

Maybe one of the Allen and Heath Zeds?
There’s also the SSL SiX which is pricey but compact.

I second a small A&H and if that's too expensive Soundcraft or as others said Mackie...

I recommend the Midiman MicroMixer 18. It's an 18-channel mixer (12 channel + 3 stereo pairs) and ultra compact.
I wish there was a manufacturer making something comparable today...

RCF F12 looks interesting imo but doesn't meet your size requirement and the smaller units from that series don't meet the spec sheet..
Zoom Livetrak L8 is a different approach that might be interesting (e.g. feature packed for its size).

Really???? The worst possible set of features, built like a toy. Bumped into Gaz Williams (of SonicState fame) at Superbooth last year, I maentioned there are few really bad products these days and he went into a total rant about the Volca mixer and how it was a complete insult to the market ...
I do see the OPs point, for various reasons some of us don't want to buy Behringer but many of their smaller mixers seem to have useful features everyone else ignores. The compact stereo channels w/o EQ and an FX send are great for synths if you want something really compact. But everyone else still tells me how great their mic pres or specially tuned EQ is, you know what I couldn't give a FF how good your mic pres or EQ is - I won't be using them

Having said all that

I'm not buying a maths though, not my idea of fun...

I've got synths with (mostly) stereo outs and I'd like a v compact mixer to connect 3 or 4 together, how is that so hard? [/rant]
Having said all that, the Mackie 804 VLZ seems to tick all the boxes AFAICS.

Re: Any compact mixer like this, but not Behringer?
Speaking of volca mixer, sounds like this would fit your bill:
2 aux sends
2 dedicated stereo, 6 mono
vixen mixer
2 aux sends
2 dedicated stereo, 6 mono
vixen mixer
Re: Any compact mixer like this, but not Behringer?
Edirol (roland) M-10MX here. Super compact for 5 stereo in and run on battery if need. Cons are some inputs are RCA, no EFX send/return. I want to trade this to the Vixen mixer.. (any review of it somewhere?)
Re: Any compact mixer like this, but not Behringer?
Not exactly to the asked for specifications (although I do believe the did make a bigger version).
I use this tapco mixer for years.

Built like a tank, does what I need. Would recommend. Dunno if they make them anymore though.
