One other consideration I would take with that stand (at least for me). I'd ensure the 0-Coast is on the top, Strega in middle, and 0-CTRL on the bottom. Why? Well, I think adjusting knobs or configuring patch cables wouldn't be uncomfortable at a vertical or close to vertical angle, but trying to use conductive touch plates would be.behndy wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 12:15 pminteresting idea suh!Tofupancho wrote: ↑Wed Feb 17, 2021 4:41 amCut a rubber band into two strips, loosen the screws going into that dowel a little bit, place the strips on either side where the case contacts the stand, and tighten the screws back up. The friction will make it pretty solid. May need to repeat for each tier. Just a temporary fix as every little vibration will cause the screws to work their way out of that wood dowel. I’ll think on it for a while and edit this post if I come up with something more permanent using just household supplies.
i am fine with double sided tape or velcro as well. would try those first, i'm comfy going that route.

Re: Announcing Strega!
Since the enclosures are metal, should be no issue to use dual-lock. It’s made by 3M (just like velcro) but it is much stronger. It is the standard now for most of the swanky peddle board‘s that you see online.
I have never had the 0-Coast. I love my 0-CTRL, and have pre-ordered the Strega. So I’m just going to do the dual-lock on my synth board with the Strega right above to 0-CTRL. Velcro has a tendency to fail while traveling/giging, but synths and pedals simply do not move with DL.

Re: Announcing Strega!
yep yep. i gigged a lot with rather large pedalboards back in the day. i always thought dual lock was kinda overkill, the heavy duty velcro is solid as butts.
they fit in decently snug, going to try double sided tape to start, that's the lowest profile.

Maybe the black wedge goes in the middle for transport? Otherwise I can't see how it would close.

Re: Announcing Strega!
Perhaps it has a flat lid and those black risers can be removed so it can fall back flat (would make sense to slip it in a bag like that). Oh and there should be a compartment in the assumed lid for those risers.

Looks 3D printed and has a lovely ‘grain’ to it I think.

Very cool! The middle joints are probably there just to attractively join the top with the bottom with a bar going through and not function as a lid, similar to tongue/groove assembly. Looks nice!

It is 3D printed and Cortini has said that it doesn't close:

Re: Announcing Strega!
I think there are some 3D printer services that would do something like this pretty cheap once the files are out, even if just a 1 off print job.
I keep checking my email today, hoping perfect circuit gets them in today and gets them ready to ship out.

Re: Announcing Strega!
That was a nice demo.
Has it been announced where these power splitter cables are from? It will be a nice touch if they're included in the box with Strega.
From LightBath vid comments "When you buy the Strega it comes with a Y-cable to connect two devices to the same power"

“It’s a synth Jim, but not as we know it...”
Very perplexed on how this thing is to be sequenced or controlled via an external means for using in a purposeful, musical way.
I have one on pre-order and already have the 0-Coast / 0-CTRL combo AND the nice wooden triple tier stand, but how is it going to all “hinge” together?

Re: Announcing Strega!
To me it feels and sounds like It's a lyra 8fx with and osc filter and lfo.
Yea the interface, r&d and Cortini but this should cost at least 100$ less.
I will pass because of the price and because I hate the feel of makenoise pots (despite having some of their stuff in my system)
Still I embrace and welcome efforts like this

Re: Announcing Strega!
so, you support the effort and research that goes into making something like this, haven't used one, but will publicly dismiss it because of the price. makes sense.

Re: Announcing Strega!
The manual is nice and really clears a lot of things up for me. The way there are "constants" + attenuvertors + internal sources is really clever and useful. I like MN stuff very well because it's consistent in terms of how it works despite being a little weird -- you can kind of pick up any of their instruments and understand it once you're familiar with a few modules and their way of doing things.

Re: Announcing Strega!
Manual answers many questions! Thanks for posting. I think they key with this instrument is to treat it as such - a very specifically oriented instrument. Personally, I will purposely not be introducing Strega to my modular system until we have had time to get to know one another. EDIT: Anyone have any case options other than the ones mentioned?? Definitely looking to have an enclosure for this and my O-CTRL.
