I hope nottt doesn't mind this "summary" post.

All texts are taken from his site (vtol.tk)

YEP, actually number of devices are HUGE, and most of them have very flexible number of feautures in each box. Though you won't play "tonal" music..but you can if you want, of course.

Volfram

Volфram is semi-modular noise synthesizer and fx-proccesor based on digital 8-bit echo chip Ht-8970. It can be used as flexible delay/reverb processor, fuzz and complex noise/glitch/drone generator. All these fx-capabilitys can be mixed and controlled with much flexibility.

Cramola

- 3 triggers with individual speed control for glitch sound generator
- manual, external or LFO pitch control/modulation for glitch sound generator

dSpacer

Dual DSP, 4 channel module. Can be used as FX processor and standalone sound generator (programed or feedback based).

Each DSP has 7 internal programs (bank_1: chorus-reverb, flanger-reverb, tremolo-reverb, pitch shift, echo, reverb 1, reverb 2). 8 more custom programs can be added to each DSP with external EEPROM (bank_2). Custom programs, such as random noise generators, granulators, DCO, etc. will be available later on EEPROM chips.
- 3 pots with modulation inputs for each DSP
- External processor clock input on each DSP (any logic level clock source)
- 1 square wave high frequency generator for DSP clock modulation
- 2 banks: internal (7 programs) and EEPROM (8 programs)
- 4 inputs/4 outputs

Corvax

C is a combination of unusual resonant filter, 4 squarewave LFOs and 2 LFO-controlled switchers that can interact with other modules.

These LFOs and filter can be used together or separately. They both can also work as modulators for other modules too. Based on TDA1524 IC, filter can be used as low-, hi- and bandpass at the same time. Also it can function as a standalone noise source with extremely wide pitch range. All 4 LFOs can modulate each other thus it's possible to create complex waveforms and random fluctuations.

- 3 individual and mix outputs
- 3 triangle wave LFOs
- 1 square wave LFO
- 2 automatic sample switchers
- sample change buttons
- individual volume control

Robo II "ASAM"

ASAM - Audio Synthetic Artifact Manager. Modular version of my Robo Synth. Ultimate source of anti music - drone madness and radio beating, pitch-shifter and digital distortion... All futures of old Robo + modular banana routing options and external control capabilities.

- 4 main sound modes
- feedback oscillation
- triple morphing modulator
- pitch control

Volte-face

Volte-Face uses random sequences of square waves (shift register with multiple feedback), whose rate can go from random clicks to pure noise. Based on two CD4006 and one CD4093 logic ICs and inspired by "I Ching" book.

- digital/pink noise source
- random clock and melody generator
- random 4 step switch sequencer
- fluctuating and "radio" noise generator
- 2 internal clock generators "accelerators" with changeable priority and ranges: one for logic feedback modulation, second - as non feedback (pseudo-external)
- external clock input
- "accelerator II" clock output
- 3 independent outputs with different types of noises, random clocks etc.
- 4 synchronized random switchers (random sequencer)
- 2 special "mutation" inputs for AM and FM modulation

Rm-1 lo-fi sampler

- 3 samples, lengthy from 0,2s (on high freq) to 11s (on low freq)
- individual control for speed (pitch) and volume
- sample modulation inputs x3
- mix and individual outputs
- mic and line inputs x3
- sample trigger inputs x3
- record and play buttons x3

Astat

Bit-crasher + lo-fi digital frequency shifter + noise oscillator and complex glitch generator

- 4 fx sound mode
- 12 banana patch points which can work as body contacts
- "MCR" - modulator-controlled resistor
- "audio in/out", "dc in" and ground connection (for volfram)
- 2 assignable resistors (500k and 100k)
- "volume" and "stab" (power starve) pots

only 4 were made

a few weeks ago I spent about 4 days sampling Volfram into Octatrack, was super fun and I like the results very much. Will turn it into finished tracks later on after finishing other project I'm working on at the moment.

and here is something else: one take no overdubs no edits.
::Vtol:: Volfram droning away with synthesis technology E-350 going through Borg1

recorded during rehearsals for that gig: viewtopic.php?t=63793&highlight=zvukoprocessor

btw, my volfram is serial number 1 and the prototype of them all, as well as the godfather of vtol's system :bananaguitar:

He'll be taking orders again in September, lots of people waiting in line. He is very gentle and it showed even on the first email we exchanged. Definitely got my attention in regards to customer support.

Everytime I go to the previous page, all I get is a VTOL video, no forum page. Wierd. Something is borked.

greetings all! I have had a small 2 module ::VTOL:: system for a couple of years now- I love it! it is just so beyond even west coast modular stuff in terms of weirdness and density-

I just decided recently to order two more modules- but I have been happy with only two! I have barely scratched the surface with them -

here are a couple if videos I made when I first got the system:

and here is a track of mostly ::VTOL:: from my most recent album:

Sonora and Volte-Face - that's cool! I only own Volфram with expander (3 additional lfos and switches) and sometimes I think about purchasing module or two from Dima because, well, Volfram is most chaotic and unpredictable. While modules like volterface or that 8 step filter could add some "law and order" in chaos, to make rhythmical soundscapes for example...

I am somewhat curious, given the huge number of interesting System devices he's produced, which ones are still considered available.

I could email and bug him, but possibly has someone contacted him recently?

Hey there!

so there's no v/oct here, ok!
but can we sync those machines via gate or trig to modulars or any cv/gate devices?

thanks

Has anyone recently hit up Dmitry recently to purchase any of the system boxes? I'd like to sometime in the near future and I was wondering if anyone had any recent transactions with him.
