I picked up a Prophet Rev 2 a little over a week ago. I had been thinking of an analog poly for quite a while, but hadn't really thought about the Rev 2. I went from it not being on my RADAR to be in my hands in record time ;) and love it. It has a great sound. It can be simple or complex, subtle or over the top. It is super easy to program with no menu diving - I do use the LCD, but it is not as needed as the screen on a lot of synths - sorry, if I have to program on a screen, I'll use a virtual instrument. It's exactly what I have been looking for for a very long time.

Such a fun multi fx ! And some of the algorythms are really good (ringmod and trashcan for example)

Agree! I have the rack version of this (the Akira).

The box is oddly great- it was one of the few modules that I've bought new that didn't come with a sticker, when for once, I'd have really liked one :)

I am planning to write and record an album over the winter & will mostly use this system for creating and manipulating samples. Though, it will also be used with another 3U rack I have setup for quad playback if live ever returns.

It started innocently enough with a pair of cheap 914s for signal processing in one row.

Then I saw the Erica Synths DSP2 for sale used at a great price. Then I filled the rest of the row with some 2hp modulators and some noise to shape with the 914s. Next thing I know, I find two used Pico Quants and an Erica Clock used for good prices. Then, I went deep and got the BitBox to bring in samples and realized I needed envelopes, filters, & VCAs. Then, I couldn't leave the couple of hp empty in the second row.....EuroCrack indeed.
I am lucky that as a full time audio engineer and studio owner, I get a bit of a tax write-off.

Some of it is here and the rest arrives this coming week. I think I should be able to make some great sounds this winter while I'm stuck inside.

Really sexy setup. Been thinking about the Behringer Filterbanks, how do you like them?? Would be so great to have CV control over each band, or scanning through them.

The SSF Dipole is such a great soundshaper and VOICE too. Running drums through it with the drive sounds very good.

Thanks!

I agree some CV control on the 914s would be fun. They could probably be modified.

I have always been a sucker for resonant filter banks. The truth is, as I am waiting on many of the modules to arrive, the 914s have only been tested on noise sources and a few loops. But, I like the results I am getting with them.

The Dipole just seems so flexible and the demos have all been great IMO. I am really looking forward to receiving that one.

Just picked up a Rossum Trident, Panharmonium, linneus, and pre ordered a mob of emus.

Also a Pittsburgh 360 case. God damn is that thing big and unwieldy. Looks great, but heavy compared to my 7u Intellijels. Not sure if I like it yet.

Thrift store find. Note the price tags, a bit less than the eBay dealers want for them these days. The WM-D6 needs a belt and maybe some more rubber parts but is in great cosmetic condition, better than the one I bought new in 1988 that still works. This one looks like it wasn't used much at all. The heads are in really nice condition. The microphone works perfectly.

Picked up a Boss VO-1 as a birthday present to myself. Need to borrow a spare mic, though.

Also, bought for me by my brother: a Stylophone Gen X-1 :)

That's pretty deep. Do you have any other Rossum? I think the Trident, Linneaus, Box of Emus (and lesser extent Panharmonium) look so deep and in/sane. I wish I had that kind of commitment.

So cool to see various Wigglers go deep on a certain maker. Best wishes - quality will ensue for sure.
