Overstayer Dual NT-01 two channel mic pre with saturation circuit and FET compressor.
Feeling pretty lucky to have found this, I don't think many were made.

Got new monitors. Waiting for their stands so the old monitors/desk are where I've placed them for now.
That's my speakers sorted then.
Kii Audio Three sound unreal.

Bought the Cycles too. This will be the first "pre-order" I've made on a piece of kit. It's something that I hadn't realized I wanted (probably some GASing involved with that), but it'll allow me to free up my DN for some other far out usage. I made to downsize some of my other gear as now I'll have (in terms of Elektron) an A4, OT, DN,DT, and this. Now I just need to look at some outboard stuff to glue everything together. Suggestions?

Cheap and very good sounding are the Klark Teknik 76-KT (1176 clone) and KT-2A (LA-2A clone).

If you are looking to spend some more, check the new Warm Audio SSL comp clone

Those two units actually slipped my mind. I remember reading some reviews about them and people were amazed at how good they sounded, especially for the price.

Yes.
They have heaps of clean gain and the KT-2A has 4 tubes in there and is much "quieter" (higher signal to noise ratio) than the Elektron Analog Heat, at Clean Boost mode too.
I use them all the time and its pretty crazy these cost so little.

An Ultrafold.

What a good use of 6HP, it adds some much-needed controlled mess and grit to a normally clean-sounding system. Low-pass filtering the results gives some wonderfully snarly tones.

Very cool.

For years, I had a Boss DR-110 and a TR-606 because I couldn't justify the cost of an 808. In fact, I had a second, as-is, parts-only DR-110, just in case I screwed anything up when I did any mods to the DR-110. I later dropped a Quicksilver CPU into the 606. Two years ago, I listed both on eBay, because I'd settled in pretty strongly with my DSI Tempest. I got about $200 for both DR-110s, and several times that for the Quicksilver 606.

Almost a month ago, a TR-08 went up on Craigslist for $200. "I don't need another drum machine," I told myself, so I let it slide.

I think I let the listing sit for two weeks - the TR-08 was in the description, but not in the subject. And after two weeks, I sent the dreaded "Is this still available" email, and it was. It was pickup only, but that was fine, I had a car.

The morning I went to pick it up, my car didn't start. "There you go, fate. You don't need another drum machine. And if you want those sounds, save up for a TR-8S." I apologize to the seller about my predicament. He writes back, and suggests he can drop it off the following day.

I tried! I tried really hard not to buy it! Except for the part where I bought it, of course.

No regrets.

It's a stupid fun little box that, essentially, I got in trade for a Boss DR-110 or two. I keep it at my desk at work, and instead of shuffling through the ol' music library, I just listen to beats while I'm getting things done. This phase will eventually pass, but not before I've put together a pile of ticky-tacky 808 rhythm tracks that will eventually find their way into music I record.
New album Accelerationist available at Bandcamp.

+1 for cool story telling...

I'll tell the one that just got away, much shorter. I really am interested in a 3 things at the moment. One of them is an Impulse Command. This sounds perfect for adding in stuff I like to play around with... Well I saw one from a guy on the big bidding site and so I bid. Someone outbid me, so upped it by about $100. Sniped at $1 above my bid. They got a steal. Sigh... So play some techno blues for me..

Awesome - I have always wanted a Source after knowing a guy in an electro-Reggae band that had one (the other keyboardist had a Taurus and I think a DX7). I forget the other keyboard the player with the Source had. probably a Roland.

I lied before - there are 4 main things I am interested in pursuing along with a few utility modules, one is still the Impulse Command. Two I am definitely getting - I just ordered a Samba drum synth from Sismo. I like the FM sounding drums and it seems to have 3 different unique ways of sequencing in 5 different sequencers. Sismo seems to be a small boutique manufacturer and I like supporting these types of companies. The other was Sonicware's Liven. It sounds really cool... If everything goes as planned with their project, I'll see that in June, where as Samba will be March or April (they are making one for me).

Wow, that takes me back. Reminds me of a large Yamaha sales/service convention I attended back when the DX7 was new. Picture a nice hotel banquet room filled with banquet tables, with 3 DX7s on each table - probably 50-75 total. The weird thing was, about the only thing they really did with this grandiose setup was to demonstrate how they could load a new bank of patches into all of our keyboards at once from the main unit on stage, using this new MIDI interface thing. It worked, and it was pretty cool at the time I guess, but... Man those guys sure had some cash to throw around.

Hang onto it; I've foolishly sold and ended up buying back my DX7 twice now. This time, it's going to the grave with me  There's just something magic about the True Original...
