Yes, I went and played with the Arp one they had out for a bit, I really liked the sound of it. I would like to heard the SEM version. I'd rather have one of these than the other new monos (sub phatty, ms-20).

SE are good folks. Looking forward to playing these!
This is not the place I'd imagined it to be.

That's great to hear. I almost placed a pre-order on one (Arp or Moog one), but decided to wait until NAMM. I have to admit I'm now a bit on the fence about this. Guess I'll wait until I can hear some more demos. I was rather impressed by the new Phatty, which makes deciding a bit difficult.

I picked up some Arp2600 sounds in those Boomstar 4075 Demos particularly when the LFO was gating the VCA. Kinda like the end of the Edgar Winter Group live doing Frankenstein:

I just noticed that they changed the cv ins/outs on these. From the original pictures to the newly release versions, it looks like there is less outside the box interaction possibilities...anyone else notice this?

I believe all they dropped was the Env. 2 Output, which they said early on in order to make room for Ring Mod and level control of VCO 1.

I pre-ordered a 4075 from Nova when they fist announced them. A year later and a bump in price of $100.00+ and now the new Music Easel. I won't be picking one of these up anytime soon. But I can want can't I?

+1. I'm sure we can find some if we looked hard enough but I seem to recall the original design having way more patch points. This seems very ho hum now.

you can still see the original designs on their site:

the only patch point they dropped was Env 2 Out. They added pots for Ring Mod and VCO 1 level control.

Seems kinda silly to me. I would have preferred the option of buying one box and optional filter cards.

The new demos on this sound really good. The feedback and distortion really make it squeal.

Several 3003 demos are now up :hail:

What a surprise, this sounds just as good as the arp but with a different flavor. In there other synths the 303 filter is the weakest, not the case at all here.

Congrats to SE for stepping up the game on these :bananaguitar:

Not much of a plunge because I know I'll love it, but I bought a Boomstar 4075 and should be getting it pretty soon. Has no one else on here bought one? This is the best sounding synth out of the new analogs imo. I know I'll love these Boomstars as the ATC that I have sounds fantastic and this will give me something different. Surprised there isn't more talk about these. I wasn't even going to buy one of these, but I realized I will end up with one or two of these eventually.

Yeah the amount of features packed into these things is pretty awesome. I don't think you can get a better value and synth at this price. I'm just anxiously :goo: until it arrives.

I'm very interested in the 4075, but 'User' demos, even on youtube are rare.

I heard the 4075 demos and I instantly fell in love. Forgot about it for a while, and now I've sold a bit more gear, think this would be a nice addition.

Is it the price putting ppl off ? Seem like you get a lot of features for the money.
Does it need warm up time etc, is it stable, what are the boring details ?

The manual recommends 5 minutes, but it's pretty instantaneous. (page 12 http://www.studioelectronics.com/assets ... al-1.2.pdf) The Boomstar is very stable also. The 4075 is great and now I want another, particularly the Boomstar SEM.
