Peavey Spectrum Synth

Post by lfo2vco » Sat Feb 14, 2015 7:32 am

Hi Muff Wigglers,

This is my first serious post here, although I have often dipped in to search for synth related info.

If there are any Peavey Spectrum Synth users on the forum I am making a software editor.
It is in a very early Beta stage that offers simple parameter changes, if you would like to try it out it can be found here:

It is being constructed using Atom’s brilliant Ctrlr software, so if you are new to this you will need to download it too.

this looks amazing! anybody know the difference between the spectrum synth and the bass ii module? there's a rom update on ebay that says they're interchangable but i don't really know.

The difference is in the sound rom. The overall architecture is the same. You can do a lot with the specturm bass, however, the spectrum synth has a rather sweet collection of raw samples in it. The filter is a litte weird, and but IMO when combined with a PC1600 they can school most VAs.

Would this editor work with Peavy's Spectrum Filter module?

This looks interesting and the Spectrum Synth is one that I really want to try.
