Vst equivalent of live's CV tools

Post by Tumulte » Wed Sep 25, 2019 4:36 am

Hi !

Is there any equivalents of Ableton live's CV tools, but in VST plugin format ?

I'd just like to get CV data from my DC coupled interface, and map them to my DAW

I've seens solutions with only outputs

Apparently SilentWay does that, but it's fairly expensive and has a lot of features I don't need

Any other plugins ?

You could probably kludge something together with a VST envelope follower that outputs midi like InsertPizHere's AudioToCC. You'd have to offset so it's only positive CV and turn the slew time all the way down.

Other than that, most of the alternatives I can think of are both more expensive and worse than Silent Way.

You can check;

http://www.sonic-lab.com/volbot/

and

http://www.sonic-lab.com/envbot/

They generate CV signals as well to control your external gear.
