steinberg wavelab has 3 programming languages available on windows and an API. you can now make a powerful wavelab server that is controlled from other remote users, hot folders, devices, automation servers etc... you can write max msp apps that generate audio and then send it to wavelab for automated mastering and file naming. just an example. you can build a web based mastering service using a wavelab machine as the back end server.

microsoft visual studio is free for the basic C++, JS, VBscript environment.

this is what I wanted with bit wig studio or ableton scripting + M4L but this is a better software than bitwig or ableton for sample pack editing.
