Anyone know if there is a list of the upper and lower BPM limits of each DAW for comparison?

Not sure about a list or other DAWs, but Ableton Live is 20-999 BPM.

I'll add to the Ableton numbers with some others I use.
Ableton 20-999
Renoise 35-999
Numerology 5-500
Reaper 2-960
Logic 5-990
Audacity 30-300 (for a "rhythm track" there isn't really DAW wide BPM)

It takes 7 bits to have up to 128 values, to do the decimal places. 9+7 = 16, so 16 bits to store the tempo.
