Can someone fill me in on the cable situation with Volta?

I've read some posts where people are talking about using regular 1/4" to 1/8" cables then I read other stuff about it needing to be tip ring to tip ring sleeve.

In the manual, there is a diagram of different Interfaces, but TRS to TS is standard. The Ring needs to be disconnected.

My company is making them as custom cables. There have been several people from this forum who have purchased them. There is another thread discussing them

I use Volta with my Serge; the cables are the ones Rex (from STS) sold me. I could have made them much more cheaply.
