Feed a signal from a guitar into it and it makes a good distortion pedal!

first impressions..
really good looking module, engraved black faceplate is quality.Feels very solid properly bolted pots. Not one for shallow skiff heads tho.

Sounds exactly how I imagined/wanted it to,plus scope for far more.

It not only snarls and screams but adds a really nice buzzy warmth when used a bit gently.

Anyway, early days but I think this filter is gonna warrant indepth exploration.

really great for almost digital bitcrushed sounding hats and hisses when fed with an interesting noise source...I used the audio rate outputs of the snazzy dreamboat....proper fizzy madness...

I received my FIL2 a couple of days ago.

This module sounds disgusting, rude and generally antisocial - exactly how I wanted it to sound. :tu:

I wonder if FSS's proprietor, Mr Shakespeare, is a descendent of William. If so, then genius clearly runs in the family. :hail:

NEW SKIFF FRIENDLY VERSION AVAILABLE NOW

Oh yes - a redesign of the FIL2 means that it's now truly skiff-friendly, with a depth of under 30mm. Never fear - all of the original timbral mutilation is still available, and there are even a couple new "features":

-Tweakable pot ranges - These are tuned as the last production stage of each Spectral Devastator, so there's no need to worry if you're too scared to reach behind the back of this beast. However, it can be tamed or even aggravated further by adjusting 8 preset pots on the rear of the module. These will be fully explained in a forthcoming user manual.

-Normalling switch "off" position - The normalling switches now have a center off position, saving the need of a dummy jack to turn the normalling off.

And if you weren't convinced of its brutality, try this on for size...
