Silent Way GUI not visible in LUNA

Post by sVendetta » Mon Apr 27, 2020 4:29 pm

Hi!

I recently installed UAD's LUNA and in order to get it in sync with my modular I purchased Silent Way. BUT... apart from not doing anything (I just wanted the clock) the GUI is just red with a square of the actual graphic showing in the upper left corner. Basically unusable, this applies to all the GUIs of any plugin of this package. All the other plugins I use don't have this graphical glitch (NI, Slate, Brainworx, Softube etc.). Is there a way to get this fixed or to fix this myself? It does work with Ableton and Logic.

Any suggestion would be highly appreciated since I really like using LUNA.
Thank you in advance, stay safe and healthy,

sVendetta

Sounds like a problem with LUNA. Have you contacted UAD?

Hi Os!
Thank you for answering. I did contact UAD via the feedback option in LUNA. Maybe an update of LUNA fixes this, but to verify which plug-ins are affected I almost inserted every plug-in I own and none of them are displaying any irregularities. I'm a little clueless...

Hi, i have the same problem: the GUI's of USAMO and Silent Way plugins don't load like they should + the buttons don't work. I'm on OS Catalina, and in logic latest version everything runs fine. I've contacted UAD support and let you know what they say about it.

Meanwhile I've tried to find a workaround via a MIDI file and importing a USAMO clock sample into a sampler (like NI kontact), but I didn't get it to work yet. Really hope there will be a solution soon!

I have USAMO working in LUNA. I am using USAMO to sync Ableton LIVE to LUNA and running SW and MIDI synths in LIVE. Obviously, USAMO requires a MONO track to run. I don't think it even shows up as an option on a stereo track.

I just opened a project w/ USAMO and it is a little more temperamental than I remember. Maybe 1.03 made some changes that are effecting the plugin, but clicking the multi-plugin selector (3 dots, upper left of plugin) or clicking on PRESET restores the window to it's proper form, and it's working fine. Also just checked a couple SW plugins both as MIDI and audio....again, initially a red screen, but fiddling with multiwindow restores, and they seem to work fine.

Definitely report it to UA.

Thanks! Yes USAMO is always on a mono track here (it doesn't show up as a stereo plugin in Luna anyway). Pressing the preset knob on the GUI a couple of times made the UI show up like it should and also made the buttons of the plugin active. Now I finally can use USAMO within Luna. Great!

With all latest updates (incl. LUNA 1.0.4), the problem still persists.
Still in touch with UA support, they're trying to figure it out.

Could you let me know if you're using a hi-dpi (aka retina) display?

Does the computer see that as 3440x1440 pixels, or, for example 1720x720?

As an Instrument, this is all I can choose:

As an Insert for an Instrument, the list grows:

Not sure what to do with an Insert. Need to mess around with it.

The graphics issue happens on my iMac (Retina 5K, 27-inch, 2019).

Hi, i have the problem both in full 3440x1440 and 2560x1080 resolution.

Now my ES plugins even show up double. I think this might be after a try to reinstall them.
