* Added Audio Playback with Reverse, Audio Playback with Scrub, Dual Audio Playback, and Dual Audio Playback with Z Speed algorithms.
* Audio playback algorithms now support up to 100 files per algorithm.
* The Wavetable VCO algorithm now supports up to 100 wavetables.
* Improved UI responsiveness when in audio playback modes.
* Algorithm selection can now loop from P-8 to A-1 and vice versa.
* Fixed a problem where the disting might stop receiving MIDI if MIDI was being sent into the module while it was powering up.
* Fixed a problem where the B-8 VCO mode might change pitch unexpectedly while adjusting parameters.

was thinking about buying a second Disting or a Pico drums. With this update my choice is easy. Another Disting! more samples to store and dual trigger mono or stereo samples and the choice of seperate outs! You rule!

Looping algo changing is a godsend - no more endless scrolling to get to the later ones. 8-)

I update to the latest firmware and I'm having problems, every time I load a new algorithm, my Disting emits short digital harsh noise.

Do the algorithms work normally once this noise is done?

Trying to upgrade to 4.5 (from 4.3) and pressing the encoder it just says success, no confirm.
Tried going from 4.4 first and even without the card in it, it just says success, never confirm.

Firmware has not changed from 4.3

any suggestions?

NOOB ALERT! How the ***** do I update the firmware on mac

Post by NONMIMETICFORM » Fri Mar 16, 2018 8:56 am

So, I go around and around trying to unzip a .HEX file on my macbook with no luck. What the heck am I not understanding here??? I have used several programs, looked for simple answers but everything I have read skips the basics. EZ7Z worked for me in the past but not this time. Please, can someone break it down for me so I can move on with my life... :bang:

Just double click it. macOS unzips files in the Finder just with a double click.

Has it already been unzipped for you? (Safari has an option to do that.)

If the file you have is called 'image.hex' then it's already unzipped.

Have you got the SD card write-protected?

ok. Round 2 and I apologize for my lack of knowledge on this subject. I have the firmware installed in the root folder on the SD card. Disting cycles through once and reads SUCCESS. But it's still version 4.2.2.
I have tried several times with no luck. Any suggestions?
