The MIDI playback modes should be able to do that already.

Ok thanks, I will try it..when I get my trs jacks..
With the quarantine going on only possible to buy online and there are delays...

This might be a big ask but,
Didn't know how feasible granular playback of audio files would be or whether that's just beyond the limits.
Kinda like I6 audio playback with scrub but Z would select window size or file position and could have audio file, envelope shape and maybe spray? selectable

Wouldn't need to be stereo to be really cool, I know it's a lot but would keep me occupied for a bit during this shitstorm

Thanks Os

One simple example I saw was when TipTip did a firmware tweak for the TG One where the 'needle drops' in different places within the sample, on trigger:
Working with long-time beta tester Chris Carter, the Tiptop R&D team tweaked the ONE firmware, creating two new modes: the first a random file selection on each trigger input and the second a looping playback that randomly seeks within a sound file with each trigger. Both of these functions take TG ONE into new sonic territory.
Cheers

You could do that with I-1 Audio Playback - there's a CV for the start position.

Hi, starting with modular again and have a disting mk4 here. Insane what‘s included by now. One thing I would wish to be added to the delay modes (or one of them) is a „freeze“ input/function much like the one already available for the reverb.

Thanks Robert

internal clock everytime the sample starts for every I-x algo so we can use envelope time even without external clock

Not sure what you're asking for there - could you please elaborate?

hey os,

a clock divider/multiplier with two independently adjustable outs maybe? :tu:

Hey, I notice Disting mk4 doesn't have a clock divider. That could be useful, eh?

Edit: oops, didn't see the last post.

B-6 Clockable LFO has multiply/divide and square wave output (though I haven't tried it as a divider myself).

Would it perhaps be possible, that an algo with Knob Recorder, such as M5 Stereo Filter, could allow CV input on Z without interupting recorded knob movement?
It would be so nice, to allow both at the same time.

Request for choking of Dual Audio Playback (I-8) to use with Open and Closed Hi Hat samples.
+1 on this request!

The point of Dual Audio Playback is that it plays two samples at once. If your samples are choked, you're only playing one sample at a time, so you don't need the dual algorithm.

Another idea to get more from Knob Recorder:
I was having fun making very quick knob recordings, almost like snapping my fingers, resulting in sawtooth- or ramp- lfo type modulation of the filter. The sad thing is, that there is no where "to go" from there.
So I was thinking: What if there was a parameter for speeding up or slowing down the recorded knob data?

If not mentioned earlier: a chaotic „double-well“ LFO would be great!

I don't know what that is - do you have an example?

Apologies if I'm missing something and this is already achievable but it would be great to have the 'pulse length' control from H5 - Dual Euclidean Patterns in the F7/F8 random trigger algorithms.

I would like to request that the Y input on the four quadrant multiplier (A-2) be normalized to 1V so that the algorithm could be used to scale X by the scale factor if nothing is plugged into Y.

Hey, maybe i'm missing something and this feature already exists...
I would like a "a la" EMW Pot Action recorder (https://www.modulargrid.net/e/emw-pot-action-recorder) Algo!
the Disting precision adder with knob record is the most similar i think but i really need a trigger input as well as the possibility to punch record in an already recorded action like in this video

Would it be possible or does it already exists?!

Hello, is it possible to add a short attack envelope parameter (say, 0 to 10ms) to algos I1 and I4 ? That would be useful to eliminate clicks when scanning thru samples using X and Y inputs.

That's the purpose of the -fadeIn & -fadeOut playlist parameters.

Would it be possible on the H-2 Dual Sample and Hold algorithm to be able to use Z as the CV in to sample and X & Y as dual triggers? That way Output A and B would both send a sample of input Z -- but X and Y would independently select that sample.

Use case for this would be to produce two sets of voltages/chords/etc. with a single series of pitches.

Unless someone can tell me a way to finagle this from another algorithm, I'd like to request a Probabilistic Gate Skipper/Busser. A la Br*nches. Z-scaling parameter (perhaps one that multiplies by negative integers also!) would be very nice, would be good to be able to get 100% and 0% probability from a 0-5V source, like many step sequencers. Micro-delay of gate as a parameter would of course be very nice too!
