Thanks for the advice. I'm looking to get audio from my modular TO my computer. I thought the ES3 sends signals the other direction?
Yes, hence my mention of the ES-6.
Is the ES8 not going to perform well as an aggregated device with my clarett 8pre?
It should. It's just more expensive and using an aggregate adds complexity.
Hi,
So does the ES-6 and ES-3 connect at the rear of the modules? Then the ADAT ins/outs on each connect to my clarett 8 pre ADAT ins/outs right? That would that then give am extra 6 inputs and 8 outputs right?

Sorry, I'm pretty new to using ADAT connections and things are unclear to me.

Would the es-6 connect to the es-8 in the same way as it does to the es-3?

It does.

But if you're using it with another interface (the Clarett) it's the ES-3 you want.

Cant I connect the es-8 to the ADAT ins/outs of the clarett? Or are you saying that because the es-3 is cheaper?

I do plan on using it with the clarett but I'd like the option of using it connected to my computer directly as an interface too.

Yes, but then you can't connect an ES-6 as well.

Oh. So max inputs to computer using es-8 connected to ADAT on interface is 4?

Considering the ES-9. So this will be selectable as a sound interface inside Cubase and all the ins on the ES-9 can be rendered as audio tracks via USB?

Or do i misunderstand? Any idea what the latency is? Is it like an ASIO device or something else?

Yes.

It's not like an ASIO device, it is an ASIO device.

Ok, thanks!

Any idea of when it will be available in Europe again, will EFN in Sweden get it?

Stock in Europe right now: https://wigglehunt.com/?query=es-9&cond ... e_max=5000

EFN should get some soon if they have any on order.

Did I get it right that the new ES-9 can be used without any digital cables in a standalone mode, while the ES-8 only routes its audio to the ADAT pipe/TOSLINK connection but not from its own inputs to its outputs? I would really LOVE to use it without my iPad sometimes but then my small effect system is dead. I would love to route the 4 inputs to 4 outputs or 1 output or 2 stereo outputs. Would it be possible to add that ability to the ES-8, if it has the same software as the ES-9?

An internal mixer will not be added to the ES-8.

Thanks for the clear answer! Happy to have my ES-9 arrive in the next two days. Your link with the vendors that still had one saved me. One shop was left in GB, one other was trying to sell it at 800 Euros or so? Crazy. Will use my ES-8 for smaller Setups then where I have my iPhone and AUM with me anyway. Just tested the ES-8 with Zmors ... wonderful. I hope we get an easy to use CV-tools like tool for iOS soon, Zmors and Audulus are not that straight forward.
