ES-3, DINsync + LogicX: won't start when recording

Post by Navs » Sun Jan 26, 2020 3:41 pm

I am so late to the game on this but I finally got my 808 swinging via the Sync plugin in Logic today :sb:

It works fine in play mode, but when I arm an audio track by focussing on it, the 808 won't run when I hit record. The plugin is outputting something, according to the mixer, but the 808 is not listening/responding.

One fix is to arm both tracks (audio + instrument/sync tracks). What then happens is that during the pre-roll, the 808 starts slower (or just not sync'd?) and then picks up on bar 1 1 1 1. What can I do to remedy both these situations? I have tried the various 'run' signals, '1st delay' and 'skip 1st' but there is no change.

Also, the 'multiplier' dial seems to be working as a clock divider. Is that right or have I just not read the manual properly?

LogicX and SW are up to date.

Thanks!

No-one else experience this?

I have also tried activating MIDI clock but that didn't help. Any ideas? :hmm:
