ES3 and ES6 naive questions

Post by Peter Drake » Sat Feb 29, 2020 9:56 am

I have a need to interface CV to and from a system (SonicCore) via lightpipe. I have already tried a DC-coupled Lightpipe audio interface for this and it was unsatisfactory.

I want to be sure I'm looking to the correct offerings from Expert Sleepers? I am old and busy and cranky, I just want it to work without any crazy problems I have to troubleshoot.

Also, I see some of the older versions of the ES3 have indicator LEDs on the outputs, or seem to. Is this correct? Is there a performance-related reason they are not on the current version?

Apologies if this has already been covered elsewhere within the forum, the search function isn't very useful.

Kind regards,
Peter Drake

If you want an ADAT connection you're looking at the ES-3 & ES-6, and perhaps the ES-7.

The newer versions have the indicator LEDs built into the jack sockets.
