ES-9 with other audio interface

Post by lofiBathSalts » Fri Mar 06, 2020 10:26 am

Hi noob here,

I have an Scarlett 18i20 that I use to route all of my instruments/mic and have an output that then sends them to a 1/4" input on my modular. I see that there is a way to connect the ES-8 directly to my 18i20 so that I can then use the 18i20's inputs. Is there a way to do this with the ES-9 or a way I can use my 18i20 for its routing purposes while also having the ES-9 plugged in?

If you're on mac you can set up an Aggregate device in the Audio MIDI Setup utility.

Your best option though is probably to use the 18i20's ADAT ports and an ES-3/ES-6.

I don't have a mac, but the ES-3 and ES-6 seems like a good alternative! It seems like I can add the ES-5 if need and that should cover everything.
