ES3 Not connecting

Post by veygo1 » Wed Mar 25, 2020 7:51 pm

Hi, message for Os - Hi os, unfortunately I seem to be having a problem connecting my Es3 (mk 2 i think) with my old apogee ensemble. Ive never had any problems in previous years but it seems now not to be connecting, the red circular light is not lighting up. Ive tried different adat cables with no luck. Any tips? Cheers. Paul. (ps i also have an es9 which i use with a seperate system running from a laptop, is it possible to sync the 2 up once it is working again, maybe via spdif? or not :)

Is the Apogee definitely sending ADAT? You've not switched it to SPDIF by accident?

If you're sending ADAT, and the cable is working, then that leaves the ES-3 being broken.

Tip for testing the ADAT cable - plug both ends into the Apogee, from its out to its in. See if you can send 8 channels of audio round the loop.

Ok will try. Do you do repairs if so? or is it write off. Thanks Os.
