I have a Pulplogic Lunchbox. I just installed a new Befaco INAMP module. When I powered the modular back up, the ES-8 displayed all 8 outputs in red, as well as the first two inputs. This is with nothing plugged into the USB input.
Is it telling me I have created a power issue?

Could be. You may have lost your -12V rail.

Re: ES-8: odd jack lights after new module install
I did the obvious thing and removed the INAMP module and powered the rack back on. The ES-8 is still displaying the odd light pattern.
The power consumption for the INAMP is +7ma/-3ma which is not much at all. My rack is rated to carry +1000ma/-1000ma and according to modular grid, I am only at "663 mA +12V | 369 mA -12V."
I did open up Audulus to see what would happen if I tried to pass an LFO through one of the output jacks on the ES-8. There was a dimming and brightening of that jack, but it looked attenuated -- as though it has a high resting voltage.
What do you mean by the idea that I "may have lost [my] -12V rail?" If that were the case, wouldn't have actually have no lights at all on my modules?
Here's the case: https://www.modulargrid.net/e/racks/view/1339035
Re: ES-8: odd jack lights after new module install
If you lose -12V but still have 0V & 12V a surprising amount of stuff will still work (e.g. most purely digital modules). The digital side of the ES-8 will still work, but it won't be able to produce the correct analogue output voltages.
Does your case/PSU not have indicators for each rail?

Yes it does. I powered it on today to check them. Both power indicators were lit up. Then I looked at the ES-8 and for some reason it seems to be functioning normally again. I have no idea what happened there. The jack lights seemed like some sort of specific error code function, which is why I contacted you directly on the forum. Thanks for responding.
