Dual LFO leds

Post by Sparrows78 » Mon Feb 25, 2019 9:24 am

Hi! On my dual-lfo the two leds are affecting each other; when only one is on the light is strong and when both are on at the same time the light gets dimmed on both. Is this normal? I’m guessing it has something to do with the power rails? Other than this, the module is fully working.

There should be only a small amount of interaction between the two LEDs and it shouldn't be noticeable unless you are looking very carefully. If it's obvious then there is probably something wrong.

Firstly check that R8 is 680R and R18 is 6K8. Then check that R4, 7, 9 & 30 are all 100K. Check too that both Q1 and Q2 are both BC550 and that there are no shorts around their solder pads.

I have checked the things wrote and everything seems to be in order. The interaction I see is minor so I'm sure it is normal.
Thank you for your help and fast reply Tony!
