ASV Four Voice
I've been wanting an Oberheim Four Voice ever since I was in high school (1980) and when I first saw the ASV, I knew what was going to happen :-)
My music budget is very limited, so I had to sell my TR-808 to fund this project. Now that I've spent some time playing my "dinosaur", I have no doubt that I made the right choice.
I used a Yarns as my MIDI > CV converter, which is working very well. There are several keyboard modes (mono, poly, cyclic, etc). It responds very well to MIDI Pitch Bend and injects the +/- voltage right into the CV. Same for Modulation, as it has an on-board LFO. And it even has Portamento!
I made a few modifications to the ASVs. I left out the Socket board and just have jacks for CV in, Gate in, VCF mod in and Output. The LFO>VCO modulation does not affect VCO1, which makes great rolling timbres when Sync is on. I used large "Oberheim-like" knobs for the VCO2 Tune and the VCF Frequency, the others are Davies 1900 clones. I made the ADSR#1 and its destination amounts Light Grey; the LFO and its destination amounts are Dark Grey. (the rest are black) This has made programming (four of them!) much easier.
I have a bit more calibration to do, and will make some audio/video demos soon.
I love this thing... I get lost for hours playing it. Thank you Tony :-)

Made a few demos. Recorded live (no overdubs but I chopped out all the time I took changing all the knobs!) with a bit of echo, but no other effects at all. (the filter can certainly create the impression that there's a phaser or flanger involved).
Voices are panned. Headphones recommended!
This one only uses VCO1 (no VCO2 or sub) and lets you hear what the filter does:

Both VCOs going on this one. A little "Weather Report"-ish/BoC with some Rush at the end :-)

Some more... (with lots of VCO sync turned on)
