TRS cable as trigger input issue question?

Post by EMwhite » Sat Jan 25, 2014 11:37 am

Not so much an issue rather than a question because the work around is to simply use the correct cable, but why won't Mini Volt stores step when TRS cable is used?

Any fix for this? I haven't pulled the module from my cab to look but assume a simple wiring fix or jack replacement would work or does the normaling of 'use time buffer clock or not' somehow get botched up based on a required but special jack?

Thanks

Suit replied to me directly but I wanted to update this thread for others that may have the same question:

"yes the ring is used as a sense when shorted to ground to tell the microprocessor to stop listening to the sync bus and start listening to the shift input. the requirement to use a TS cable is mentioned on the sales page."
