6 db output for STG Soundlabs post-lawsuit lowpass filter

Post by bertbocklandt » Mon Nov 12, 2012 4:59 am

Hi,
Does anyone know if it's possible to modify/customize the output of the STG Soundlabs post-lawsuit lowpass filter from the standard 24 db to 6 db? Or a switch to go from 24 db to 6 db...
I've asked the man himself but he doesn't seem to answer :hmm:
Did I cross the line? :hmm:
I really like the 6 db output of the STG mankato filter (which I don't have myself) & my boogie filter also has a 6 db output which I really love.
But the boogie is a vactrol filter & I would love to also have a 6 db transistor ladder filter.
I've had the Doepfer A-108 (also has a 6 db output) recently but I don't like Doepfer VCF's as they sound too modern & clinical to me :despair:
(of course, sound is subjective so... :hmm: :hihi: )
Are there schematics for such a modification?
Or can a good technician pull this off without schematics?
Or can I maybe buy a modified one from somebody here on the forum??
:tu:

It seems to be able to buy a kit for a "magic smoke electronics" eurorack mankato but if possible I would rather have a modified STG soundlabs post-lawsuit filter as that has the ARP character :tu:

6 db all the way!!!!!

hey man thank you but wait until you get it to get too excited.

i think it's pretty cool, don't know if i'd dedicate a unit to it, but it's definitely a pretty cool sound.
