I have 2 dedicated quad vca’s for stereo modules. And sometimes I just run effects modules direct into dedicated mixer channels ( like a rainmaker)
In all, I have 8 to 10 mixer channels fed by vca’s at any given time. I struggled with routing for the longest time until I got a capable mixer.
I make UnderBridge for the Elektron Analog Keys. https://youtu.be/dowAKQkFAE0

I work in drone and largely build complex soundscapes. I feel like I go overboard in this respect, but whatever gets the job done. I like to tap a lot of copies of signals pre and post filtering, etc. I use a Worng Soundstage that gets pretty jam packed, and that winds up putting out just one stereo pair among probably three or four other ones and other misc. mono signals.

I use a Keith McMillen K-Mix which gives me up to 8 channels (in practice only 6 because I use 2 for a final reverb return).
It's compact and works very well. I tap signals from wherever I need to in the modular.

I have a lot of 'modular' outputs. All of my modular go directly into my Speck SSM/SSM Expander rack mixers that are built into a custom desk.

Euro Modular:
Worng stereo ouput is one (stereo) channel
FEEDBACK Modular Pre KM is one mono channel
Erica Black Output is two mono channels
EMW Pseudo Stereo is one (stereo) channel

So five Speck channels total for Euro.

Serge has two mono channels.
ARP 2600 has a single stereo channel.
MU modular has two mono channels.

My Speck is wired for stereo on each single channel, but I prefer to use two channels if I have the room. It allows better signal processing. It is always in flux as I add and subtract inputs.

Recently I bought quite a bit of signal processing so I need to learn to use more patch bays.

Live I run all my outputs into an Intellijel Mixup and then go L/R out of my case outputs to the board. If I’m recording, I send each output individually to the board and pan accordingly. It all seems to work well - is there a smarter way I could be doing it?
