Sorry for bumping this thread but i had a bit of trouble finding a cable holder for my braided cables and figured other people might find my (limited) research helpful.

At first i got the cable holder from Erica Synth which is fine if all you use is regular patch cables. As soon as you use stackable cables from Tiptop you'll need to apply some force to get them in, which isnt great. And of course you can forget about braided cables.

Then i bought a module from Ladik and he was so nice to give me a small cable holder for free. That one can actually hold the stackable cables just fine. Still doesn't really help with braided cables or anything thicker then the Tiptop ones.

I eventually found the Voltcraft ML-1 OR and this one even works with braided cables.

The orange Pomona holders are perfect for Euro patch cables, anywhere from Modular Addict skinnies to braided cables and Stackables.

Note that Pomona cable holders are available with different slot widths. The 1508 holds cables up to 0.210", and fits MI braided cables. The next size up is 4408 which holds cables up to 0.320" which should work with most mic cables. If that's not big enough, there's the 2708 at 0.450" for your RG5s.

There is also a thing by TPI called the leadrack which is made from wire instead of steel plate. You could probably bend the wires to fit various cables.

If you look on electronic components websites, take a look at cabinet trunking. You can buy that way cheaper than a manufactured product. Take the trunking lid off. I sprayed mine with a Plasti-Kote paint and varnish which gives it a matt look. Perfect.

Eurodesk-Z cable hangers.

Got the Eurorack version, very solid and a good capacity.

Seconded. I recently picked up the HEX-01. Worth every penny.

This arrived today https://busycircuits.com/product/alm-cable-hanger/

It's the only cable holder thingy I have and it hasn't been set up yet. However if your in the UK it's a reasonable saving on the HEX-01 because of shipping, import tax.

Looking forward to using it :)

This thread reappeared at the right time, and this looks like the best option I've seen so far...

The Pomona ones are really good and cheap. I have five of them - two of the orange ones for euro cables and three of the black ones for 1/4 cables. I haven't got the model numbers to hand.
