you have two choices with the power supply, you disconnect everything from the power supply and power it up. or you leave it connected and power it up. you could do a quick check for bad caps, bad rectifier diodes, bad transformers, shorts etc... before powering it up. that would be less risky if you don't want to take it apart. still not as safe as disconnecting it but safer than just switching it on without prep work.

What an unbelievable find this machine is. I’m very excited to see what state it’s at currently. It looks fantastic, and while a restoration is fairly daunting, it’s a 1 off machine. Fantastic!!
Gum is fun, but not on a cat.
