XPan or a Filter? Not much room

Post by twistedneck » Tue Feb 11, 2020 2:43 pm

I have a couple oscillators now and two filters. Of course I use both of them Wasp and Filter 8. However, need to make some room and I want an xpan bad.. Should I keep the wasp and not get the xpan? then I still have two oscillators and two filters? or ditch the wasp and slap in the xpan?

Help me!

A wiggler in distress! :waah:

There's a third option - get a bigger case.

But what are the oscillators? Some can get away without filters.

The case does need to be upgraded its a Pittsburgh Modular EP270, looks like I need the EP360.

But that's another $900 … gonna be a few months.

My plan was to add another oscillator and a Make Noise QPAS filter so i'd have the Joranalogue Generate 3 / Filter 8 combo, the SSF Specturm / Wasp Combo and something like 4ms new Ensemble oscillator and the QPAS. Well now I decided instead to get a Make Noise Morpagene for some cool voice recording stuff and that smoked all my space!!

I have an ES9 coming and I don't see how that's going to play well with the XPAN. All love this set of 'problems'

advice appreciated.

X-Pan is REALLY cool and can do a ton. It’s a bit of a Swiss Army knife itself.

For me, X-pan is super handy, I'd like to get a couple more of them actually.
