Question on sending 2 sound sources into the same LPG or filter

Post by zerodivide » Wed Feb 12, 2020 8:03 pm

Guys I need some creative ideas. I'm trying to send 2 different sources, each with their own clock/gate pattern into 1 filter. How could I ping the filter when either one of their gates fires? I think I'll try summing the sound sources before sending it off to the filter but I need to somehow fire a gate when either one has fired for the filter to respond to each note. Does this make sense? what's a good way to accomplish this?

That would be and logic wouldn't it?

If I'm understanding your question correctly, you would AND the audio -with a mixer- and OR the gates.

Simple diode OR works well, and can be built into one end of a patchcord. Diode OR modules also exist from several vendors.

OR gates in maths, isn't that gates into chan 2 and 3 and taking the OR output?
