thread revival: does any of you orgon modular owners have more info,
pics of the boards, drawings or even schematics of these things?
esp. the enigiser filter would be interesting

maybe I should post this in the DIY section, but will start off here :)
this blank space left intentionally

From what Im told its a MK3 Prototype.

Oh and mod busses have 12 destinations not 6 as printed on the panel.

This is my holy grail synth, wish I could get one. Still recall reading about it in Future Music and almost fainting at the review. :zombie:

Hi brilliant forum, not sure if anyone will catch this due to age of thread but could do with a bit of advice from fellow lovers of the green and silver bass machine that is the enigiser. The power supply for mine is dead and wondered if anyone could advise a suitable alternative, any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm so glad people are still using the beasts

Massive thanks in advance

Hey guys,
I'm new to the forum but reading since a few years now!
I know it's a stupid question, you can laugh ;)
I'm searching for an orgon enigiser since long time.
Anybody has too many models and want to sell one? Or do you guys know where to look etc. Seems to be an incredible task for me.
Best
J

So yesterday i was really lucky as I traded my sh-09 for an Orgon Enigiser (serial no: 00010).

Pitch mod and filter track are not working as pots are desoldered and also has some other crackly knobs which they can be fixed easily i guess..? I cannot complaint anyway as I bought the sh-09 for 400 pounds.

Can someone explain me how the lfo line and env lin work on the lfo and env buss? There is this env and lfo line 1,2,3 which i cannot figure out how it really works :help:

Also would be amazing if someone can upload the manual. I know that the synth was coming with a hard copy manual. I would be interested to know in more detail about the different lowpass filter modes.

those line-ins are for expansion .. it never happened.
however, you could possibly mod it.
thats why I am asking for schematics :)

I just recently fixed my problem of not having a power supply. Per a very helpful wiggler's info, Erica Synths external PSU is a good match, but has a 4 pin connector instead of 3 pin. I have extra GX3-16 connectors, so, if you're in the US, I can send one.

http://www.ericasynths.lv/en/shop/enclo ... kiff-case/

The guts of that is:
http://www.trcelectronics.com/View/Mean ... 3513.shtml

I figured the time/cost for me to make a decent case, switch, etc. vs. buying the Erica. I found a demo unit in great condition from Perfect Circuit via eBay.

The PSU inside has a screw for adjusting output voltage. The Erica came set nicely within .01 volt of 12.

There are 4 pins on the Erica connector, but only three wires, and they are the only ones you need.

The data sheet shows you which wire will have which voltage or you can verify with multimeter.
https://www.trcelectronics.com/ecomm/pdf/rd35.pdf

In the replacement connector, you want pins to be connected with:
1. -12
2. ground
3. +12

If you open the Erica case, you can just check which color is connected to which channel (or ground).

Just leaving a message, looking for one...

Not sure if i'm surprised or not of finding people here having multiples enigisers but still that's quite impressive!

Hello,

I also would very much like to have an Enigiser...
I have been trying to locate Geoff but no luck so far.
Reverse engineering the device shouldn't be too hard (if we had an actual specimen to work with) but asking for his permission and/or collaboration would be the decent thing to do imho.
In any case, I want to offer my full support to any attempt of creating a clone/replica, preferably on a non-commercial/DIY basis...

grtz

Alright, I asked 5 persons for a pic, got 1 answer, the Orgon was sold.

I DMed some users in the thread, who happen to 1) own an orgon 2) still browsing MW..

Hopefully I'll obtain some pics, that's the least I can do since I'm no DIY expert.
